Idle chit chat is allowed as long as it doesn't get too far off topic or stay off topic for too long. A couple of messages to appreciate another members project(which all happen to be Fords) they have put a lot of work into is fine. Where it becomes a problem is when every post by someone is bashing Ford, SD's, America, Americans, American beer, bragging about how foreign cars are so much better, etc.
FINE. Next time we forget about booze and automobiles and start talking POLITICS.
Like i said in my post i didnt want to offend any one im just provin my point to ppl that do not need diesels.
Dude your not proving anything with info that's wrong. Your point makes no sense. You base your prices on one source. Now if you made an average of the prices would be one thing. My point is I don't have ti use dealership maintance so your numbers is irrelevant.
Brother 03-04 prolly saw the most warranty claims than any year. Most definitely not a good time for the 6.0.
You asked when you would need more than 450lbtq, so I answered. When your working your truck every lb helps.

I bet we don't. Politics is a no no in this sub forum. If politics is allowed anywhere on this board it will be in the general section.
Dude you have a very short reach of concept. The idea of a thread getting of topic alittle is if what's being said can find its way into the topic. Politics has nothing to do with a psd or v10. I really doubt obama ever had an opinion whiether which one wad better
Yep, politics has nothing to do w/ Ford vehicles. If we were talking about Dodges or Chevys that would be a different story though! I honestly can't believe this thread is still going. So who is winning now, diesels or V10s? lol

Yea u do not have to use dealership maintenance, neither do owners of v10's, so its seems pretty fair. All parts where priced at the same dealer... Yea maybe 03-04 saw a lot of warranty claims. Did u look at the warranty claims for 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10? Didnt think u did. Go back and read my other posts after i posted the post with all the info. I said that i posted it for people that have diesels that do not need them. Obviously u do need ur diesel because u use it like it was meant to be used. I agree an extra 100 lbs of torque comes in real handy when ur pullin 20,000 plus pounds. But it doesnt caome in handy when ur goin o the grocery store. Once again i posted all this info to show people that have diesels that do not NEED them. I later posted an apology go back and read that and maybe u can understand what im tryin to say. Maybe i posted this post in the wrong thread, IDK...
all this talk of "need" makes no sense to me, If I want an F650 to use as a grocery getter....then I get an F650. Do I need to prove to anyone that I "need" an F650? No, should I give a rats a** what they think about me driving an F650? again No, are they going to be making the payments on my F650? I doubt it. Last time I checked it was my RIGHT to buy any vehicle I wanted to "get groceries" and for me to need to prove to anyone that I NEED it is way lame.
I also have a 3500 sq ft house, 85+ acres, 3 horses and 12 guns, whom should I contact to prove I NEED all that?
The need is only an external Viewpoint. Just like this ******* at school, "Why do you drive that loud, fast, very large truck to school??" "sir... I believe you just answered your question."
Sure I dont need a fully tricked out 460 to drive to school, but that still dont stop me from driving it. So what if I have to spend 100 USD every week to drive to school. Someone needs to keep the petrol company in business.

You would be wrong again. I've been researching the claims on the 6.0s. I don't the actual numbers but 06 and 07 saw less claims than any year. I have an 04 and just love it.
No need in posting $80 oil changes when its not necessary. Facts will be picked apart around here.

I know all about 05 warranty claims, to the tune of $18,000 before 80,000 miles on a single truck! That is why I now buy V10's.

Ok bud. How many 6.0's have u worked on? I worked on 3 today... Just like every other day in my life. Guess how many 03 6.0's i have worked on? 10-20 maybe. Guess how many 04 6.0's i have worked on? 50 er so maybe idk. Guess how many 05 6.0's i have worked on? Countless... Its a friggin opinion, aint no right or wrong. But if it will make u feel better i will ask a Ford field service engineer what his opinion is. 20 bux says u will disagree with him as well. YES u are right an $80 oil change isnt necessary, although recomended with a 6.0. I can elaborate if needed. I do not spend 3.75 on my oil in my gas burner either. LIKE I HAVE SAID TWICE. I PRICED ALL PARTS AT A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE REASON I PRICED IT AT A FORD DEALER IS BECAUSE I HAVE GOOD ACCESS AND TO MAKE IT FAIR. I could have priced it out through autozone or any other place and it wouldnt matter. It is still going to be more expensive to maintain a diesel. Its given that diesels take more maintenance...
