So I have to ask why do you keep focusing on the actual dollar amount of 80 for a 6.0l oil change? Isn't the price difference the thing that matters?
Good point but no its not what matters. He's putting off he's a Tech. He's arguement is that a psd cost $80 to change the oil. For number crunchers $20 is a lot of money. Matter of fact 2 oil chances pays for my fuelfilters. I along w/ everyother psd owner know our maintance cost more. My point is it doesn't have to cost you as much. I don't ever add this to my arguements I will though this 1 time. I have shopped and bought ahead and had under $40 oil changes. It can be done. There's people that are on the fence about weither to buy a psd or v10. If a person falls on the page where a "tech" appears to be saying this or that. It appears to be true cause the "tech" in their eyes adds weight. He also states that after 05 sees worse claims than the earlier. We all know better. So now how is some that doesn't know anything suppose to make heads or tails of all this?

Whoever drops $25k to $60k on a truck and worries about an $80 oil change needs to have their head examined. LOL

I just dropped $49K for a truck three months ago. And I worry about $80 oil changes!
Wasting money is wasting money, it doesn't matter how much you have or make. I can afford my truck because I don't waste money on $80 oil changes if it's not neccessary.
An oil change on my '11 should cost me around $50.

I agree with that, mine would be $53 with rotella after tax. Either way, unless you are driving 7,500 miles a month, it's a drop in the bucket compared to the price of the truck.
I somehow doubt your 460 makes more power than a V10 or PSD with just exhaust, you are 123 HP and 47 ft pounds short of a V10.
Whats your fuel mileage?
I dont know about the HP, but I make 552 ft/lb with my 460.
I get about 10 MPG if im lucky, but that is with 10k lb. on it. I can push mid 20's empty, ridding at the speed limit between here and Roanoke Va (55mph average at 1500 RPM)
Hopping to up tha loaded MPG with an upgrade to the trans (ZF5 and a brownie aux.) soon.

If you can get mid 20s out of a 460, you better spill your secret!
Or sell it to Ford, it will set the auto industry on its ear, and make you a billionaire!
your E4OD is a 4 speed. I think that the OD is like .73 ratio. Assuming on the other guy has a auto 3 or T series 4 speed has a 1.0 final. The ZF has a .76. Either way that is more than double the ratio I have with my T19 and the Aux. Trans. It comes to .35. Also, you probably have deeper ratios in your axle. That also takes away from your MPGs.
As for that 350, It is in a 2500 with a NV4500 so the final after the Aux. Trans. is .26 with 3.55 gears. So, that equates to a .94 ratio in 5th gear and top in the aux when combined with the rear end ratio.

And I do mine with synthetic for $80.
Why? Here lately everone has covered their butts and haven't made the mistakes of letting us psd owners in on their filter deals. But you can still find filters and oil on sale. Its cheaper to buy oil in 5gals. So most of the time my oil change cost me $58. 2 oil changes makes a savings of $44. That's my fuelfilters for free. It gets tiresome of these guys comeing in here gonna tell us how much it cost us to change our oil. Maybe you don't but I know where every cent goes on my truck. I have a bottom line that I have to make pan out. I can't control how cattle or fuel prices does, but I can control how much money is wasted in either of them. Now $80 on synthic oil is a different thing. That oil cost more.

You guys are missing the point of my comment. It doesn't matter whether it is $80, or $60, or $50. Point is, it is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the truck, and should not be a big factor into the decision, unless you are changing the oil monthly or something ridiculous.
There are way more important things a person should make in the decision, such as:
Fuel cost difference in their location
Expected number of miles driven
Percentage of towing, how heavy, and what altitude
What they desire to have
etc.
We have spent way too much time on immaterial stuff such as "your oil change costs $80" LOL
