Since the 6.0L is a Boosted Moter maybe the Preformance Loss is Minimal compared to a Gasser

I would guess a Gasser that did this might be in the range of a 15%-20% power Loss

But a Boosted Moter with an Injector setup High press like it is I would think the PCM can make up for some of that???

What do the Techs think about this???
Great point, my mileage has been down. And stage 5 hasn't been so hot lately.

Oh,
REALLY small. The tool would cost more than the engine at that
size. But can you get away with a glow plug? I take it that the
harness is not in place yet. This is what I was thinking of.

what's a oem head gasket cost? i think my builder charged me $160
each, retail.

i'd pull it, and see how the bores look, etc..... besides, their warranty
states if you say anything bad about them, the warranty is void.

that is asinine. free speech cannot be set aside in a retail contract.
besides, i've said enough negative things about this mess that simply
READING my posts voids your warranty........

good luck with this, and i hope your project gets resolved.

I'm frozen,,,, don't know what to think. I would feel great knowing that I have ford gaskets.I dunno. I gotta get to work. Wallet is gettin skinny, but not black onyx skinny. I sent them an email with pics of the rocker boxes, and the painted front cover. I'm gonna shut er down and sleep on it. I'm fried. Maybe someone that works there is one of the 6000 views of this thread. Mike, u called the lifters, and now you've got me worried again. I think I have a love/hate feeling for you. Lol. Not really. Very, very glad you're here.

at this point i would demand a refund from pmm and do it yourself. There are too many things you are posting that aren't adding up. Be wise about it and don't settle for anything less. If you have any issues with this new rebuild it will cost you double over time to have done it right from the beginning. a few calls to the bbb and state attorney general will get their attention...quickly.

yes. once torqued, and the torque is broken....

the folks who change one bolt for a stud without disassembly
aren't breaking it loose.... so they get away with it if the
gasket is good.

i understand that..... it's just a bullchit thing they tossed into
the warranty so they can refuse to make good on a warranty.

and it wouldn't stand up in court, but you'd have to sue them,
and how many people are really gonna do that? it's bluffing with
a pair of threes.

my opinion, for what it's worth, and as i don't have a horse in this
race, it's not a lot..... is that there are a couple paths you have here:

you can holler foul in the morning, put a merchant charge back on
the card you used to pay them, and then they can come and get
THEIR long block.

you can put the thing in and hope for the best, changing the head
gaskets or not, as you see fit.

i would assume, and i think that there is sufficient grounds for this
point of view, that getting any warranty relief with this engine is
going to be an uphill battle... they have enough restrictions on
their warranty to make it almost impossible for you to recover any
damages, without a judge awarding them to you.

If they don't they will loose a lot of people that would of purchased.
They already lost mine a few pages ago. Dragging this out will only
hurt in the long run.

Wow RunRun!

I started to follow your thread when I left for OKC to put in my longblock. I was soo busy trying to get my own in I didn't have time to read all of the post that were coming up. I did have grand visions of doing videos and picks, but I didn't have a helper and once completely covered in grease with daunting hours ahead of me the pics kind of fell to the wayside. It took me 5 days working 14+ hours a day and sleeping in my cab on the lift at the shop. It all went together flawlessly and I made very few mistakes. I installed it right and I'm now wishing I hadn't installed it. Every couple mins when my phone would buzz with a new post on your thread I assumed you had made the right choice with performance mfg. Now that I'm back in Indiana and have time to read some of your thread, I'm worried for you.

(protecting my warranty) my down time costs me money, so I made the call to put it in.... Don't do it if you can afford not to. Send it back for a refund!!!
Mine is louder than my old engine. it knocks worse, it has worse blow-by, they used gasket spray on the gaskets, etc.

Rebuild your old one... These companies are ****3d!!!
