Hello, I just joined and I'm looking for a scan tool to do cylinder contribution test. I pickup a new to me 2006 F250 Lariat FX4 last weekend but is has power problems. I am trying to diagnose the trouble but I am not getting any type of codes. Anyway, could you point me to a IDS clone scanner, I don't know where to get a good one. Thanks in advance

LOL..... I just saw all the messages you are getting about the IDS clone. You are a popular guy. I hope you are alright with the fame.

    Regards,

    Hey Sean
New member so I had to post and send visitors message. I too would like to purchase a clone for my 2003 F250 6.0. Does it come with the obd connector or do I need to buy one. Also the only laptop I have is a old Compaq with AMD and windows 7. Will this work?
Thanks for doing this for all of us Powerstrokers.

    Hello.

I'm in need of a VCM for my 03 6.0L. You seem to have knowledge of a good clone that works. Do you have them in the US at all that can be readily shipped?

    Any details are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hey Sean,

I can't PM you, I guess because I'm a brand new member. I have an 06 6.0 and was interested in an IDS clone. Do you have any left?

    Thanks!

    Hi Sean,

I have a question about the IDS and VCM II and hope to get some help from you. I bought a kit from eBay. After installing the IDS following some readme.txt and youtube, the VCM is plugged in, but the IDS doesn't see it somehow. I used Windows to search and install the drivers for the VCM. I saw some youtube videos show a driver software set up, which I don't have. Do you think it's the VCM that is bad or it's the driver or IDS setup? With the IDS, I tried both v86 and v91 => v101 using 3 days trial. Neither shows the VCM. I also tried both virtual machine and real machine.

    Thanks,

    Nam
