Leave the fan stator off. Much more room to work with. You will have to strap up the fan clutch wire.
I'm not so sure I agree with that. The stator is there for a reason. As far as what reason it is, I can't tell you. What I can tell you though, is that if it has something to do with how it affects the flow of air to cool the engine, I would definitely leave it in place. To leave it out, just for the sake of making it easier to change out a drive belt is not a good enough reason in my opinion. For one, the drive belt tensioners and belts on these engines seem to last much longer than they do on 7.3L and 6.4L engines, so the likelihood of ever needing to change one on the side of the road are very slim.

For sure, I have two extra belts and a whole set of pulleys. Nothing needed changed, but I did it when I was wanting to rule out the belt when the chirp started. I'm gonna see if I can cut any of it away and not sacrifice too much strength. It's way easy to change the belt without it huh. I've always just pulled the rad n fan to change the belt. Prob 20-30 mins that way.
Gloves are always good. You don't know where that dino
that you burned had been before you pumped it into you tank.
Also the less time you spend cleaning fingernails the more
you can spend on a good dinner.
I just googled and was looking at the full kit and had the same thought.
If someone was only doing the STC update for a problem then you
would also need the turbo seals to do the job.
You may be able to save and reuse the intake set. In that case.
Not that I would. But that is me.
Ok. Here's my issue. I actually brought up that the gasket provided isn't light blue. I was told its an exact replica, made by the same company, just a different color. Um, you guys can decide
Here's my old one
Some things are acceptable aftermarket, some are even better, others,,,,,, well they just suck
