I was actually thinking about cutting a couple chunks outta it.
I'm having a very hard time here. Putting that engine in really doesnt feel like the right thing to do. The dirty pistons really are concerning me. What else is used junk??? I could rebuild mine myself, and know exactly what I have. I don't give a crap about any warranty, if its built right.
Cat got me up early he wanted out of the room. One heck of an
alarm clock.
The tops of the pistons are very hard to clean and so long as the
groves have been "cleaned" and new rings fitted they should be ok.
I have reused then many times and all I do it check the dimensions
to the chart and do the needed work then the old one are ok. And that
is with a small airplane. They should be ok.
Can't think of much more right now.
I took a couple times before I learned to dedicate a drain pan to the oil cooler. She's a messy girl. Lol
Separating the housing from the oc itself
Success
Ok if any of you know, would you tell me which of these are the output? I'd like to back flush it. There's nothing wrong with it. Deltas were fine.
Well, the dealer doesn't have the hpop gaskets, but they do have the stc kit. 40 for the stc, or 20 for the orings alone. Aren't they normally 60-80??? I guess I'm getting another updated stc. Couldn't hurt.
You may want to replace the oil pressure switch and EOT sensor. What you're doing there is the exact reason why they fail either immediately, or shortly after re-installation.
