Leave the fan stator off. Much more room to work with. You will have to strap up the fan clutch wire.

I was actually thinking about cutting a couple chunks outta it.

I'm having a very hard time here. Putting that engine in really doesnt feel like the right thing to do. The dirty pistons really are concerning me. What else is used junk??? I could rebuild mine myself, and know exactly what I have. I don't give a crap about any warranty, if its built right.

Cat got me up early he wanted out of the room. One heck of an
alarm clock.
The tops of the pistons are very hard to clean and so long as the
groves have been "cleaned" and new rings fitted they should be ok.
I have reused then many times and all I do it check the dimensions
to the chart and do the needed work then the old one are ok. And that
is with a small airplane. They should be ok.
Can't think of much more right now.

That is all well and good except on their website it says that they use NEW .20 over pistons and rings.

Now I did not read THAT but I did not really spend time on there site.
That is a problem. New is just that new. Not reconditioned or flat out
used.

But it was a short block and would have been easily noticed. Sucks you are running into all these issues.

Either way, there's more to do. I need to modify my lifting plate to allow me to install the oc n hpop out of the truck. Here's it marked

I'm sure most of you have cut 1/2" steel with a 4" angle grinder. It's fun. Here's the casualties.

So far so good

Very cool. It might work. I just hope it doesn't affect the strength

Why not use the lifting eyes that are already on the motor?

It holds

Gp control module.

Hpop, With no gaskets for it. Hard to believe.

The famous updated stc fitting. Btw, is the updated part still called stc??? There's no snap to it. Lol

This is the feed for the hpop from under the oil cooler.

Off to the dealer

Do yourself a favor and leave the stator off of the engine. Much more room under there.

This is my parts washer

Getting ready to clean the oc housing

I took a couple times before I learned to dedicate a drain pan to the oil cooler. She's a messy girl. Lol

Separating the housing from the oc itself

Success

Ok if any of you know, would you tell me which of these are the output? I'd like to back flush it. There's nothing wrong with it. Deltas were fine.

Well, the dealer doesn't have the hpop gaskets, but they do have the stc kit. 40 for the stc, or 20 for the orings alone. Aren't they normally 60-80??? I guess I'm getting another updated stc. Couldn't hurt.

It looks like the PMM warranty requires you to install a new oil cooler.

You may want to replace the oil pressure switch and EOT sensor. What you're doing there is the exact reason why they fail either immediately, or shortly after re-installation.
