I was in Atlanta in july. That place sucks. It stinks. I didn't find anything good. Now that I think about it I don't remember seeing the 1st woman with any teeth in her head. Thank God for ol' Alabama.
I agree ATL sucks, I live up near the lake about an hour away. The last time I went downtown was last year for a football game. Wanna guess which one? Ok it was the SEC Championship. Yeah I was pulling for BAMA, RTR!! They're actually my 2nd favorite team.
So you can rev to 5,000 RPM, make 362HP and use the torque multiplication of second gear at highway speed?
No I can not. I can make 330 hp and 500+ lb of TQ at what 2400- 2800 rpms. I'm sorry I can't remember right now where its at, but that's close enough. Oh yea my engine will turn 5000 rpm. It just doesn't have to. What does your transmission have to do w/ your engine. Thoight we had the same transmission. Just so I can show how I'm thinking. I'm pulling 10 ton of feed. I set my cruise at 55mph. The tac is showing bout 18k rpms. I get to a nice hill 10k is all my engine has to turn to get to the top my its power band. I'm guessing your is turning about the same. Your engine will have to turn 38k to get same results. Explain to me your advantage. I'm missing something sommewhere. I'm not trying to argue or be hard to get along with. I just don't understand.

Gator_Bait man that game sucked... It'll be different this year.

You should have been told that trying to argue with an idiot makes one also look like an idiot; therefore, I'm done with you ........ move along now. I have facts you have, well I won't speculate on what you have or have not, along with another trolling poster here. If you need to read it again just scroll back a few pages in the thread, it really hasn't changed trust me, oh wait you can't do that, okay it's all gone then.
Don't have to go back a few pages, I posted it back about 10 posts. I am just asking for you to show us how your v10 beat every diesel but one. Post the race results.
And if you read up on what I have been saying the last 500 pages, I think the v10 is a great engine, just not my choice for my use. And it will not outpull a 6.4 like Bill contends. Just facts. My 6.0 I am not sure, I think there are instances where the 3v v10 can keep up with mine.
But that's cool, you can be defensive and rant on here, you are not the only v10 owner in that model.

Why wouldn( the 6.0 be able to use the torque multiplier? I don't know that it does or don't. My goodness. A torque multiplier takes torque on one side multiplies and outputs it on the other. Nothing special there. Can't be something in the TC locking up cause in tow/haul. The TC lockes in every gear soooo. I don't understand where your going with this question.

I'm going to edit some numbers in this post. I tried for an hour to edit. Some reason I couldn't. Any way 04 6.0s make 325 hp @ 3300 rpm/550 lbsTQ @ 2200. What I wanted to say about the 6.0 turning 5k was that even though in a high speed gearshift you can reach those numbers but why would you? There's nothing to gain. The 6.0 is built to run under 4k

Diesel turning at 18k... I'm impressed. I only know of one engine that get near that, and I know it's not in a truck.
Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but My 2002 even before I had my tuner, would outpull the 6.4 in stock format. This is in a progressive weight sled pull. There is an advantage in the V10 having power faster and getting ground speed up quicker, the resulting momentum will pay off at the end. I did this in 08 or 09 and finished 2nd to a Chevy who was running a 100 HP Bully Dog tuner. I lost by 9 inches.
Your above post basically says your 2002 V10 with no tuner outpulled a stock 6.4l PSD and beat everything else except a duramax with a 100 hp tune.

Please explain why someone asking for proof is being an idiot?

Try running your 6.0L in 2nd gear at 60-65 mph. Please do.
That's 5200-5700 rpms.
When you're done picking your pieces of your rods, pistons, and pieces of the block up off the ground, come back and tell us how that worked out for you.

Those numbers were for 3.73's. if 3.31's were used, it would be 4700-5100.Not quite rod/piston shattering, but close.

That's well above the redline though. And considering the weight of the rotating assembly of a PSD, you will have significant loss of power at those RPM's, if you got it up there.

He can have better tires, a better balanced truck, not over-apply the go-pedal, or a host of other things that allow him to tractor-pull better on dirt than the rest.
Or, it is simply the fact that he can stay in a lower gear and/or get higher speed because of his higher RPM range.
