So you're the truck pulling expert? I'll bet you your truck against mine that it didn't hurt it one bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My 99 with V10 went to the pulls one week after I got it, and about 3 or 4 more. My 02 V10 with a lot of mods and tuner went when it was 3 weeks old, and pulled at least a dozen times, and competed in 5 or 6 tug of wars. I also have pulled 20 or 25 stumps clearing my property and my brothers property as well, I'm talking 32 to 36" diameter for a couple of them.
I got new tires on it about 6 months ago and the truck alignment checked out perfect, I ask for the printout because I'm not going to let them "say" it needs it just to get some coin.
I'm trusting that the F350 is even stronger than my older model 02 F250. So why are you the expert on my truck and frame? You're laughing it up quite a bit and you have never seen anything I have done. Hmmmm?
wow they should put you on the brawny paper towels package. and yes. any truck that isnt built for that much weight will twist the frame. i didnt relize you needed to prove yourself.
And if you spit a plug in a stock V10, your engine dies, you are calling a tow truck, and replacing the engine.
Man what a total load of BS. If a plug blows you pull the fuel injector connector for the blown cylinder and drive to a shop for repair. Replacing the engine, yeah right.
The bare chasic yes and exclusively with gas engine. Good luck finding diesel model. There are available motorhomes with E350 cabin, but far from luxury and very far from 20 mpg.
Hate to break it to you but a sprinter motorhome isn't going to average 20mpg either. I'd believe 20mpg on the highway thats it. If your that concerned about mpg your best bet is to drive Prius or some other craptastic subcompact deathtrap and stay in a motel room. The E series motorhomes (or any custom motorhome) can be built as "luxury" as you want them, there is nothing special about those sprinter motorhomes. You said nobody uses Ford chassis for luxury motorhomes and that is wrong. It seems your definition for "luxury" means it has to have a sprinter diesel chassis.

I didn't prove myself, we're talking about trucks. Your now wanting to make this a personal attack? That would be good to put a pic of my truck on a tub of Goop wipes though, I think I'll send it in.
I'll still call you remark a load of, I've proved my truck frames haven't twisted now for 11 years. I know about 10 other guys that do this too every single year during pulling season, guess what, nobody has twisted their frames, if we were then we would know about it and do something to overcome it.
It's a useless point with you because you must have so much real world experience that would contradict what I know as fact. Good luck with that!

never made anything a personal attack. your telling me that your using your truck for a truck like its a big deal. i dont know why its a big deal to pull up some stumps, i did it all the time when i was in high schools except i used something designed with that task im mind. no im not any expert on your truck. but how can you tell your frame isnt twisted? its not going to be a twisler. the only way to tell is to look at the body line. to the naked untrained eye it would look straight. and yes i know a lot about bodywork.
im not the one claiming i can outpull any truck but one.
1. If only 10% of SD's have the V10's, you probably won't see many of them.
They're all up here in Summit County, CO according to one guy on here....It's weird because I still haven't seen a single one and I've been looking for them.
My stock 6.7 will outpull anybodies stock or modified truck except for one guy. He had a Ford 6.4 with a boatload of mods and his own software to program the truck himself.
I know this because I pulled in the truck pull last weekend and finished 2nd. I'll bet once the re-flash comes I'd be able to even beat him because he only pulled 5 feet farther
There were several Dodges and Chebbies modded and blowing big black smoke, but oh so sad they had a big FAIL.
You mean that you have the 2nd best pulling truck in the country and this guy you lost to has the best???
You said anybody's modified truck and didn't list any stipulations. Isn't that the same thing as saying any modded truck and any modded truck in the world for that matter?
Isn't that a pretty broad statment that your stock 6.7l will outpull any modded truck? I need more details to be convinced, perhaps "street legal" should be included???
I could care less who's truck will outpull whatever...I will use my new 2011 to pull a 10000 lb. fifth wheel, my flats boat, and other than that just daily driver. I expect it will do just fine for that duty. I have no desire to prove anything to anyone just want a good solid truck to last, perform as designed, and give me reasonable fuel mileage for hopefully at least 500,000 miles. I will not be attending any truck pulls let alone taking part in one. I am not impressed with huge black smoke blowing out a stack or tailpipe. I am impressed by a truck that always works as advertised and never breaks, and that gets good fuel mileage. Then I know my decision to purchase that vehicle was well-founded and will reward me with many years and miles of trouble-free service. That I will brag about any day.

Yes, I pull in street legal division.
My V10 would finish top 6 or 8 against the diesels but win hands down in the gas only class.
On paper yes, but show me one time a V10 has outpulled a 6.4. The 12 hp advantage is nothing compared to the 200 torque disadavantage or whatever it is.

The old crank number comparison. How about the pickuptrucks.com test - the cummins had 245 ft lb of torque more than the ford 6.2l gasser and in the test with the most resistance (16% grade pull), the cummins really couldn't out perform the ford gasser.
Do you think the 35 hp crank advantage of the ford gasser was the deciding factor?
