It's not. I was born and raised there before I joined the Army. CO and MN are like that though unless you go to a liquor store though....3.2 if you but from a grocery store or gas station.
Really? I can smell a truck running in front of my house for 2 minutes. Around here, we are all on 100x100 plots or even smaller, with the house in the middle of the plot. And on a nice day with the windows open, it's horrible.
Just checked the truck going by today, it's an International... and definitely not diesel.
Oh yeah, I can smell a delivery truck or something like that. But I would prefer the smell of the diesel of the smell form the garbage itself. Where I used to live we had diesel garbage trucks (I knew a mechanic that worked on them), and you couldn't smell the diesel at all compared to the stench of the garbage.

I don't know why, but they don't smell of garbage... maybe they actually clean them out when they're done for the day
Volkswagen diesels have been available here for a long time, but it hasn't been until the most recent versions of them that their popularity is starting to increase.
Ya, because the newer (post y2k) VW gas engines SUCK! Check out reliabiltiy ratings on jetta's for example.
No I don't...but holy crap, have you looked at the 6.8 page? hahahahaha
Yea, there are more V10s on the road than 6.4s and the V10 was started in 1997. The 6.4 in 08. Look and see how many problems are with 2 year old V10s you won't find any. Seems there are more than enough with the 6.4 though...
I think its kind of funny that you talk so much crap about the V10 that was made in 1997 and is still in use, when your trucks engine was used in 2008,2009 and 2010 then dropped for a much better engine!

Actually just look at how many post were made in the last day...
Look at how many threads the V10 section are active today (i.e. posted in today), it's about 5 or so (I didn't actually count them). Then go to the 6.4 section, they have about 20 threads that have been posted in today. If you keep looking you'll see the 6.4 section has FAR more traffic than the 6.8... wonder why?

That's a double-sided coin, much like the "how many V10's are for sale in Colorado" debate. Is it good that there are so many PSD's for sale (very popular) or bad (everyone's trying to get rid of them)?

Not really, there are fewer 6.4 than V10's, yet the 6.4 section has at least 3 times the traffic.
From there you can ASSUME many things, which may or may not be correct. I would assume people in general come here when their truck has an issue. More traffic means more issues. This certainly is not true 100% of the time, but I believe it to be the case a majority of the time. Now given the 6.4 has more traffic than the V10, the previous assumptions allows me to say the 6.4 has more issues than the V10, specially considering there are more V10's than 6.4's.
Additionally, the lower traffic in the V10 shows that people post fewer problems.

I guess my point is that a better way to get the number issues each engine has is not to look at "how many problems are in the first page" but rather ask "how many problems have been reported in the last 5 days."
