Now that I'm done with the class I was in I have enough free time to dive in again...
Um...I seriously doubt it. My '07 was a similar configuration to yours and I have loaded it and pulled heavy with it numerous times.
Like this one:
350 lb bike in the bed, ~600 lb tongue weight on the trailer plus 4 people in the cab. Nowhere NEAR the bump stops.
F150s are very capable trucks, I nearly bought one to replace my dead F250. As capable as they are I was really used to the power of my '08 and didn't think I'd be happy towing heavy with the 5.4L again. Had the 6.2L been out in the F150 it would have been a done deal though.
Feel free to look it up, or better yet, feel free to revisit all the F150 threads where people are talking about "payload". 1280lbs PAYLOAD (not towing) for a 5.4, 4X4, with the 6.5' bed in 2008. However, if you put 1280lbs in it, you would exceed the GVWR of the truck.
Doesn't that tic you off! Somebody hundreds of miles away who has never seen you, your truck, or the load that was on it telling you how your truck handled the load.
Yes, it sure does tic me off. HE is trying to tell me how MY truck handled a load.
Ain't no way in hell that would have been MY F150.

I have pictures of mine though. Show me some pics of a 150 on the bump stops with only 800 lbs in the bed
I see where you edited my comments above my pictures and claim the truck to be unloaded. The truck is still sitting in my driveway if you want to come look at it. Or you can send anyone on the forum that lives in my area to look at it. You want to call me a liar, then come back it up.

We aren't questioning the 800 lbs putting you over your payload. I don't doubt that a bit. We were just saying that if you were on the bump stops you had way more than 800 lbs in the bed.
It's like the 99-04 model f-250's. You can get a fully loaded, psd, crew cab, automatic, etc, that weighs well over 7,500 lbs but it still has the same 8,800 lb gvwr as my regular cab 5.4 that only weighs 5,600 lbs. My payload is 3,200 lbs and the crew cab is 1,300, but I wouldn't hesitate to put 3,000 lbs in the bed of either one and know that they won't be on the bump stops.

No man, I'm serious...840lbs of rock, and on the stops. My stops even looked different than the ones on that 2WD Scab.

I guess Tom's trailer doesn't put any weight on the back of his truck either does it? He wasn't talking about trailer weight. He said he had 600 lbs of tongue weight and 350 lbs of bike in the bed. That is 950 lbs on the back of his and it isn't even close to the bump stops. That is more than what you said you had in yours.
Also, like I said, if you think I took those pictures with the truck unloaded then by all means come prove me wrong. Send anyone you want to come verify it. It is still sitting in my driveway and I will leave it sitting there until you can send someone out here if you want me to. I would offer to take a video of me looking in the bed and then crawling underneath it to show the bump stops, but you would just say I edited the video. If a video is good enough for you I can get one first thing tomorrow morning. Otherwise, I think we all know who is "fibbing" about their truck.....

Leave that rock in there and I'll be out there to verify it in 3 years.

If you come out here in 3 years I will buy another pallet of rock for no other reason than to put it in the bed and show you that the truck is not even close to the bump stops. I will be taking the truck back to him tomorrow, but I have no problem taking a video of it and posting it on here.

You would have to put the rock in a 5.4, 4X4 Screw with a 6.5' bed to get what mine was. Don't you understand that? I also had a Rhino Liner in the bed which weighed (according to Rhino) approx 200lbs. The Payload for MY truck was 1280lbs. 840lbs of rock, 200lbs of Rhino, and oops, I forgot my toolbox which was full and probably had another 300lbs of crap in it. A pic of my truck is in my profile. My point is that MINE didn't haul much in the bed. THAT is why I switched over to a 250. The payload on that Scab you have is rated at 1680lbs. That's an additional 400lbs over my old one. If you want to keep this going as a "Totally different model F150 vs ChargersFaninCO's F150" feel free, but the truck you're using isn't even close to mine.
Here's some old posts from Tom back when we BOTH used to have F150's since he wanted to joint the Frey.
Hey man, he's a MODERATOR...I'm just replying to a line of questioning, but I'm wondering the same thing. Welcome!!
Thanks for the welcome. But can we get back to the topic.
I got a question for you guys. I see a lot of v-10 guys are saying the v-10 makes more power then the diesel. I drive a 2010 diesel so of course I will be on the oil burner side but if you hook up a 2010 v-10 and 2010 6.4 who would win a tug of war contest?

In 3 years this topic will die, because there will be no V10 still on the road. Unless you consider garage queens
