The 04 f150 w/ 5.4l also has 3.73s and is an auto. If I remember right the didn't offer a manual in 04 and 05s. Well in auto it will shift out at 45mph. If I manually shift it'll pull right up to 50 and that's it. My 04 f250 6.0 w/ 4:10s is the same way. Last night I videoed 2 runs and tried again today and its the same way. Ok I'm taking into account cause I don't know but yall say that the v10 can run same speed 1 gear lower. You might reach 55mph in 3rd but I don't think you'll keep pulling. Where as in 4th I get next to 70mph in 4th. This I'm not real sure. I really can't tell if I had just shifted or easied up off the gas lastnight. The video is only 31 seconds long I get to 80 mph within that time pulling 10k +-. My goal is to show my truck pulls past 3100 rpm. 1st shifted at 3500 and 2nd at 3750 and 3rd at 3750. I "think" 4th shifted at 3250 and at 70 but like a dumb **** I chose right then to record my pyro and boost gauges. Like any body cares about 23 lbs of boost. My buddy is going to try it out in his v10 and see what he gets.
On the SDs with the ZF6 the shift numbering is a little different because of the extremely low 1st.

With my 6.8l 4R100 combo I can do over 70mph in 3rd. The diesels are usually well beyond their hp peak at that mph in that gear so they would be in OD. Sometimes it can be benefitial to rev slightly past the HP peak to get closer to the sweet spot on the next shift, sometimes it doesn't.(Like when not pulling)

If you were referring to the ZF5 or ZF6 manual in your previous post, ignore my post.

My V10/4R100 with 3.73s up shifts at WOT 1-2 at 41, 2-3 at 74 and 3-4 at 102.

I can run second gear at 65 all day.

I wasn't. My SD has the TS and f150 has auto and don't what is used in the mustangs now. I've been meaning to check out if the t5 is still being used.
Bill 65 in 2nd all day? Really? That's wild. I don't have anything that can reach 65 in 2nd.

My '05 V10 TS equipped truck with a 4.10 axle shifts at the following speeds at WOT:
1-2=38mph
2-3=51mph
3-5=72mph (TS doesn't use 4th above 32 degrees F.)
5-6=can't remember-haven't wanted to pull any of my trailers that fast to find out.

I have had 18,000 gross and held O/D for 40 miles at a time, and I have been a only 12,000 lbs gross and run second and third for an entire trip becuase of a head wind.

Here are some links to some specifications on the different transmissions. Look at the gear ratios of the different transmissions and what gear number the ratios correspond to. You can see that 4R75E in the 150 is very close in ratio with the 4R100. The ZF6 and the 5R110 are bit different. You should be able to go well over 70mph in 3rd with the auto equipped 5.4l F-150.

Just like on paper, the v10 has more "tractive force" and will therefore outpull the psd. Hehe

Do you have any clue what we were discussing or are you just blubbering out words to see where they stick?

Oh I have been following. LOL. Just pointing out to the v10 crowd that say on paper the v10 will out pull the psd, even though real world shows something different. Your gearing issue was another example.

I don't care what anybody says. There's no way the V10 can out pull the V10

Why not both?

Develpers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison:

They devolped an engine that was a Gas/Diesel Hybrid. Basically they took a diesel engine and through out the fuel curves they programed and added Gas.

The engine Had Near 0% emmisions, And the Thermal efficiency was 60%.

The engine also requires lower injection pressures 7,000ish-12,000ish.

Most current diesels can be converted easily by adding Gas tank, Common port injector and a control module.

NO EMMISIONS EQUIPMENT!! The emmisions on this was Well below current regulations. Bio diesel and E85 is expected to have higher Thermal efficiency. <!-- / message -->
Forgot to add that it also runs on water.
