Than tell me, how many Americans would drive Fords, or Chevy pickups would we for last 10 years have those 25 mpg, $35,000 Sprinter pickups available here?

The thing about this type of thread is, just about everyone with a 7.3 and lots of 6.0 people are not stock. So we tend to compare what power we have now to talk all the smack we talk. I would never have a stock truck after knowing what my truck can do, tuned. I guess this thread should have started with the word "STOCK not TUNED" in the title.
Yet, when it comes to chassis for luxury motorhomes, they don't use Fords, but Sprinters.
I know the Sprinter is lighter chassis than PowerStroke, but not too many owners use PS for 30k sets like I do and they definitely would appreciate daily ride making 25 mpg for 2 million miles without major repairs.
Heck, would I find the pictured Sprinter for less than 6 grands, I would buy it just for that.
I talked to a Fed ex driver about them and he never said anything about 2 million miles... He said they were underpowerd POS's that needed new injectors every 100K miles.

I would love to see that thing take 3K in the bed, anouther 1K in tools and then hitch up to 10K and try and pull it around in the ruts and stuff I end up in. If it lives through that I want to see it get up to 75 in less than a minute, still pulling that load.
I've never heard of a sprinter lasting anywhere near 2 million miles. I talked to a guy who works at a shop that services them, a lot of them run into injection system problems.

In all honesty, I don't care if that thing got 40 mpg at 80 mph while haulling 10,000 lbs in the bed and towing another 20,000lb trailer, I wouldn't buy it, let alone drive it everyday! Probably see more than a few in SF, though. They like weird euro-trash. Look closely, it probably has a rainbow sticker on it somewhere...
Today I made a point to notice the engine in the SD's I came in contact with. The 1st 7 was on a road crew. 3 350s and 4 250s. 1 of the 350s was a single and it had a 5.4. All of them where 05 and newer and had a 6.0. Going by the sale barn I pulled in to check things out. 3 dodges 5.7. 1 chev don't know what it had. 17 SDs. 8 6.0s, 4 6.4s, 2 6.7s, and 3 7.3s. When I got to the dealership I'd decided to pull in and look around. Out of 30 something SDs there was only 3 v10s.there was no 5.4s{Saw a raptor. I thought it was ugly} I got to work finally, counting mine there was 5 SDs. 3 6.0s 1 5.4 and 1 7.3. I,ve been thinking about the problems the v10 and 5.4 have had since 2000. They both had spark plug spitting problems. In the 3v heads in 04 and 05 models.{I listed them cause that's what I have and had} The spark plugs seized up in the heads. I don't know if this was ever fixed. So I change my wifes every 20,000 miles in her f150 and mustangs. So I really don't listen to the 100k mile spark plug change argument. I've never noticed more v10s than PSDs. I don't think I ever will either. As far as engines go any body that I've talked to that had a problem w/ their 6.0 it was w/ a components not the engine. The engine failures that I have heard of was from tuners. Right again the 6.0 has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouth. I bet no more so than Ford and International.
