What i listed is pretty much the only upgrade for the highboy style trucks. They have 2.25" wide rear springs and noone makes a shackle flip for them. The springs are also short and have an arch to them so they will always ride rougher. The chevys ride better because the springs are longer and flatter. Like i said on the fronts the 99-04 SD springs are your best bet. More leaves per pack and thinner leaves so they flex better. Youll have to mod a few things however. First youll need to make shackles that are 1" longer. Some .25"x2" flat bar and a drill bit can fix that. Also youll have to cut the military wrap off the front and enlarge the spring hole in the hanger to 18mm or drill the hanger and spring bushing both to .75".
Now as far as the back like i mentioned the 63" long chevy leafs ride nice. Had them on my last crew. Youll have to get the chevy front hangers. Move them forward a little and drill new holes. As far as shackle flips go you could get the ones for a chevy.
About 10 years ago I owned a regular cab '78 f150. I drove it for about a year and sold it, and have been kicking myself since. I currently have a '04 regular cab f150. I like it, but will be needing something bigger in future as the family grows. I just became aware that Ford made crew cabs back in the day too, and have found one locally on Craiglist I am considering purchasing. Can anyone provide advice/opinions on this particular truck: 78 Ford F350

The bed is not mounted right. Or the frame is tweaked.
Bet you there is rust under that rubber floor mat.
Bet you there is rust under that bed cover.
Bet the roof has bondo under that fresh primer.
Those rear fenders have to go.
May still be a decent cab if you can have the repairs done right.
Dont look that bad. I would ask him if the grey primer is a true fix/repair or did they just paint over the rust. Does it run? That's a good price also.
Those racetrack pieces could fit either a regular or crew cab. The only piece I see that is crew cab specific is the short piece in the lower center of the pic.
Been trying to get mine back together the last couple of days. Only in town on the weekends so its going to take longer than it should. Probably have another couple of weekends in it but at least it isn't cold yet.

That's a really nice looking truck! When it's all said and done, I want mine to look like that.
