I cant help u out but did you post in the 73-79 forum also since alot of the front ends are the same as regular cabs. I never believe anyone from the parts stores because most of them are yuppie kids that dont know anything about vehicles.

Yes, I did post in the 73-79 forum as well. I was only posting here because I knew the steering box I got came from a 79 F350 Crew Cab. Just wasn't sure if they were actually different then the other trucks of the same generation. I guess the only thing that's different is the 2 vs 4wd drag links.
Most likely. Im switching jobs. Ill not have any time to do anything. Im just going to sell what i have if i can and have a nice running truck shipped in from the south or west so i can drive it when im at home.

It is my understanding and from the trucks I've seen that the F350 CC was only offered with a standard long bed. I bet someone shortened the frame and put a standard short bed on it. The F250 CC came with a standard short bed. This applies to 1966 thru 1979.

A little misunderstanding. My bed bed is shot as in, a rust bucket. I do have a long bed. Reason why I was asking was because I found a 1978 f250 for cheap with a long bed and wanted to swap beds. I was wondering if the beds are the same.
