hi, i want to know if someone have see a 1977 ford crewcab 4x4 wrecker dually with long wheelbase (to put a 8 feet box) original, because the man i talk with, say he think the truck was a wrecker because he buy it with a steel box 8 feet and have dually rear end.... (because everwhere i read ford 73-79 do just crewcab 2x4 8 feet box...)?
I take it your from a french part of canada based on your typing. Im gonna try to decode it and answer your questions
I personally have not seen any crewcab wreckers. Crewcab 8 ft box trucks only came in 2 wheel drive. If it is an 8 ft box and 4 wheel drive it is either a stock 2 wheel drive converted to 4 wheel drive or it is a 6 ft box 4 wheel drive stretched to an 8 ft box.
Hey guys! Been a while since I posted. Mainly for the same reason I've returned to post this...
I've given it a lot of thought lately and, because I have been neglecting my baby by making her sit in the back corner of the shop and and watch me work on everything else and ignoring her, I've decided to see if someone else can give her a good home. Since I last posted, I've taken over the daily management of our family farm and all my free time is now devoted to my daughter. Little or no time has been spent on my project until just recently, when I was asked by the chief of our local volunteer fire dept if I knew where he could find a good 5.9L Cummins. One of their trucks needed a transplant and they were desperate. I thought about it for a while and said "I have one..." That started it all. Long story short, they ended up not able to use my engine, and now I have no desire to put it back in. I'm going to post it in the classifieds shortly, but I wanted to let you guys know ahead of time.
Here's a link to latest pics I took of her.
A little background on my project, for those interested. Started out as a regular cab 4WD I was going to rebuild and make a daily driver. My brother-in-law knew a guy that a had a '78 CC 2WD needing something special done, and so he contacted me. We ended up doing a trade where I got his CC and I put a reg cab on his CC frame and some other mods. Everyone's happy! Not too long after this, my father-in-law gave me a '92 dodge extended cab 4wd with a cummins with a junk cab...
I scratched my head a while. Thought about it some. Decided I'd make one truck from 2. I worked on it regularly while employed at my local auto parts store for 3 years. Unfortunately I no longer have the luxury of "time to spare". My days are filled with checking cows, feeding cows, or chasing cows. My "spare" time is spent with my one and only daughter. So, the decision has been made.
Besides, I need the room in my shop for farm equipment...
Any suggestions on where to find these rare beasts? Are they spread all over the US or is there for some reason a bunch in certain area that I can look that has more of them?
Looking to by a 74 F100 Super Cab to add to the collection. This truck is in awesome shape but it was in a tornado and something fell on it. I am looking for a top cut to replace the roof. I know this is rare and its not been produced aftermarket yet. Hoping you all can help. Thanks
I know its a bumpside, but this is a rough 1968 Mercury crew cab 350 for sale in Edmonton Alberta for $1100.00.

Reason: wrong add
Note for Junkman11. I got your note the other day on my old email. Still have the truck and am willing to give it away if you come and get it. But, that will have to await better weather. Do you remember the page on which you found that offer? Get back to me. Bob

Thanks Bob, my mane is Lorne. I was reading this forum and saw your post. The pics are on page 38 and then you offered it again a year later on page 66. Yes let's wait until it warms up. I will contact you. Thanks again.
