Probably not supposed to do this but it won't let me post to classifieds..... I have the full race track trim upper and lower and all the parts to go along with it off of a 78 crew cab long bed if anyone is interested.
Add me to the list...I WANT racetrack trim and need all the crew specific trim as well in a BAD way!!!
I'm in central Texas. That's not my truck. I want to buy it and figured the members here could give me a good idea of its worth. The truck is in New Mexico.
I saw that posted on CL. Cant remember what they were asking but I would go $4500 at the most.
I was thinking max $4000 because the interior is a bit rough and still haven't heard whether or not it runs and drives. Saw a very similar 75 CC in great shape with a perfect interior and zero mechanical issues sell for $5000 in Arizona, so I figure four grand is a fair price. I still don't know if it will be worth a 10 hour drive each way. How often do crew cabs come up for sale?
There's 2 guys on www.oldfordcrewcabs.com that scan CL almost daily and post whats for sale. There coming up for sale quit often. Finding one that is in good shape ready to drive and not being overpriced is a little tough. I got lucky with my 2 being ready to drive and not overpriced.
I ran across this ad on CL and thought I would pass it along. I know crewcab's are getting harder to find so I thought I would share this!! Area code 520 puts it in Tucson, AZ

Hello everybody,
I just recently purchased a 1977 F250 CC, has the 351M, 4spd and divorced 205. From what I have found on the VIN decoder everything looks to be original. I am new to Fords in general but not new to anything mechanical. Im looking to use this as a toy/weekend warrior but not going to get hard core and beat up a CC. Just want to make it better and more reliable.
First, all 4 leaf spring packs are well used/beaten by the previous owners. I would like to replace them and get a little bit of lift~4". So my question is, what are the best springs to go with? Should I do a shackle flip on the rear and lose the blocks??
Second, One of the PO's has FUBAR'D the engine wiring harness. Butt splices and electrical tape everywhere under the hood. I havent looked under the dash yet. Im either going to replace the entire truck harness or piece it back together. What is the best direction to go??
Please fill me in as to what you (the experts) have done/recommend to these couple of items.
As far as suspension are you gonna tow alot? I would do 4" lift front springs from a 99-04 superduty with the gas engine. For the rear i would get stock 63" chevy springs from a 06ish 1 ton 4wd. The "lift" kits for these trucks suck big time. The springs i just listed ride nice. Granted the chevy springs will need to be used with a block but the ride is excellent compared to stock. Youll also need spring hangers from a 70s 4wd chevy to make the hangers work. As far as the wiring goes is the part thats cut the part that plugs into the firewall harness? If so just changed it out.
I'm not planning on towing much if anything. Im mainly concerned with the rears and the compression shackle and blocks. I've had a couple older chevy's and gone with the common shackle flip to get an easy 4" lift as well as getting rid of any blocks. I know they ride alot better and the axle wrap is reduced alot. I was thinking of having some custom springs made from Alcan and try to find some kind of rear hanger to flip so the shackle is down instead of up.
But fom the small amount of time i've looked around for these trucks, there's not much out there for upgrades in the suspension department. I could be wrong thou....I usually am, just ask my wife
