Posted this in the general dent forum but thought i should ask you guys as well. Found a 78 4x4 crew in California. It needs some tlc but its going to be a great project. Looking for suggestions on the best place to buy aftermarket, crew specific parts such as rear door panels and rear door pull straps and such. Thanks
Hello -- Has anybody figured out the hot setup for replacing the headliners in these trucks with something that comes close to the factory look? My '75 has all of the headliner perimeter hardware and trim, including the center support cross bar. I can find the front piece through LMC and similar suppliers that will go from the visors back to the cross piece (with some trimming, apparently), but the piece from the bar on back measures about 30 inches and is a different overall contour -- kind of like the roof panel, I guess. Thanks for any info...
Trying to find pull straps for my 78 crew. Can anyone tell me how long the straps are supposed to be? If some one can give me the measurements over all and bolt hole to bolt hole I would appreciate it. Mine won't be here for at least another week. "Dependable auto shippers" should change their name to "you'll get it eventually auto shippers". Thanks
Good Morning. About 2 months ago, a fellow from Calgary emailed me concerning a crew cab I wish to give away. Now that the weather has improved and we don't have to dig it out of the mud, he is welcome to come and get it. I am having trouble, due to a computer upgrade, finding his contact info. Can anyone help locate the original post? Thanks in advance. Bob
Hey guys. I've got a 76 F250 "highboy" and i'm currently working on a power steering swap. I got the steering box from a 79 F350. I don't know if it was a crew cab or not, maybe someone can enlighten me.
The steering box, from what I can tell, will sit on the inside of the frame, which i'm totally okay with.
The only part i'm having trouble tracking down is the drag link, to hook from the pitman arm to the steering knuckle. I went to the auto parts store today and they pulled up a mevotech one that like like 4ft long. They than told me that the crew cabs had shorted drag links.
So here I am, in the "crew cab" forums asking for help.
