yes it is a FE i believe its a 391? It appears that with a battery and some gas it would still start pretty easy.

He prolly wont scrap it. He bought it from the guy whos house it is at right now for (get this) $100. Even if he wont scrap it he will never sell it. It will go under his trees and never move and never be for sale. Along side it he has a '55 F5? and a '59 F500. He also has a '70 F500 that is complete that i know he is gonna scrap cause he already called the scrapper to come get it. He also has about 50-60 other Ford pickups that cant be parted or sold cause he refuses to. Hes a horder. Ive known him for 15 years now and he has always been that way. We did however crush prolly 150 '46(a buick)-'00 cars and trucks most of which were ford pickups from '66-'79. Its all private owned.

73-79 Crew Cab

We are located in Indiana- we was putting this cab on a 90 f350 4x4 chassis for a crew cab- we have installed in the frame the IHC verson of the powerstroke ( 37,000 miles) coupled to an allison tranny. I am retiring and decided not to build it any more due to health

I'm a bit far away or I'd grab it. Not that we have your location though I'm sure someone will step up and want it!

Sorry to hear about the project not moving on...

Davebu-

What part of Indiana are you in? I may be interested in it. Let me know and we can get more in touch.

In the 73-79 truck beds I believe are all the short beds are all the same length- A lot of the people we sold to over the years opted to go with the later models fiberglass short beds so they could tub out the fenderwells- and I have one of those Dave

Hey guys. I should have posted some questions in this section a few months ago when i first got my truck! Anyway, I bought a 79 crew project from a guy who kinda half *** started working on it. A little background on it, the truck was originally a dually. The PO took the cab and front clip and put it on a super cab long bed frame. the frame has been sand blasted and primered and thats how it was when i got it. Im in the process of sanding the cab and doors so i can pull em back off the frame and clean and paint the frame. Anyway my question is, The PO told me that a short bed would go right on it. Is this true? Or will a short bed be too short? Again its a Crew cab on a super cab long bed frame. Sorry if im asking a question that has already been brought up in here. Here are a couple pictures from when i picked it up I can get some more later on tho im at work right now. Thanks for your time!

I think the short bed is CLOSE to working right on your setup but may be off a bit. Ask "crazyredneckanyhow" on here as he should know for sure. I think his crew is going on a supercab longbed frame as well.
