Crewcab Only Thread.
The green makes me think of one of the previous crew cabs you had. I suppose you sprayed it on yourself?
I went with the narrow rear spring packs from a '77 F-250 crew 2wd, then for taking up the heavy-lifting duties, i added the above leaf pack set of overload springs and spacer blocks and frame perches from an early '70's Ford 1-ton dually. I am very pleased with the highway ride and how well it will pack a load. All stuff i gathered up at Pick-n-Pull.
My front springs, shackles, frame brackets and the front spring cross-member / hanger off of a '76 F-250 4x4 high-boy. hahaha
So, my '77 lowe-rider has been modified to ride up like a high-boy. (or not) hahaha
Note the bed is from a '78 ? F-250 longbed 4x (if i remember right). I had to make perches out of a piece of 2x2 square tubing so I could utilize the factory bed mounting holes. The two front bolts lined up pretty much near center enough on the frame rail that for these two forward most bed bolts, i drilled and tapped the frame.
was an F250 before I put this '77 cab on my '77 F350 chassis. So, here in California my pickup is registered as a '77 F350.
hauling a load of wood for my aunt. It is easier to load the trailer.
The wood is stacked between two sheets of plywood which set 5'-6" apart, which means there is about 1-chord and 1-tier on the trailer.

I had no idea these trucks were becoming so collectable. Here's one for sale in BC.

That's Canadian dollars...but still...just sayin'
I do intend on posting photos for you guys to look over !
I have bunches of photos on my Flickr page. I will have to post a link somehow in my "signature" box in my profile somehow. (don't know how to do that rudimentary stuff). hahaha
I've been busy with my '78 Ford E-250 Chateau Van 4x4 do-over here in the Van section.
I began the "Do-Over" in August 2020, and started by removing both fuel tanks for cleaning and general inspection. Hmm, I completed the Van 4x conversion in 1993. I was my second Van conversion to 4x4.
My '77 F-350 Crewcab was a two year build from 1996-1998 of mixed pieces and parts, and was a most enjoyable build.

Ok, I just ran out and checked: front meas 7-inches, and rear meas 6-1/2 -inches.
I am running 255-16 Toyo a/t's.
Remember, _ _ I discovered the front of the 2wd frame rails are Factory Punched for bolting on the '74-76 F-250 front leaf spring Crossmember !!! makes lining springs up a Breeze. I used the '76 frame brackets for the rear shackles and of course the leaf springs too.
When i swapped cabs and put the good cab on the F-350 chassis, I had to find an 8-foot box with the racetrack trim to match that of the cab. I had more fun scrounging parts, and thats been 23-years ago.
I have had more fun pushing that Clifford Equipped 300 six to the limit. I just love to feel the secondaries kick in while pulling. (no whiplash tho). hahaha
I have never had my engine overheat and I'm not even running a fan shroud.
That is my concept of running the 4-barrel Holley is to give that engine a steady drink of cool fuel while running along up those pesky grades at 4,000 rpm easy. I had the rotating assembly balanced and am running a good set of hypeurtectic pistons. Oh, get this: a Clevite early '60's grind cam. LoL
One nice thing about the Clifford products: i've never changed the intake manifold / header gasket since building the engine in 1997. It's bored .040 over.
I can give the engine lots of praise but for being 300 cubes, it needs a supercharger off of a 302 t-bird.

Someone bold needs to give that white Crew a new home and cut out the roof cancer.
above: yesterday's on-road Sighting in Anderson, California.
I pulled up beside the guy, a true American Red-Neck with a red Do-Rag !! hahahaha
He said it is a '73 _ _ _ and sounded good. Oh yeah, he was on the pipe and the engine sounded healthy.
('73 probably produced the 352 or 360 ? Someone like Orthman probably has the engine code table.
I looked at a nice standard cab '72 F-250 4x4 last month and found a table somewhere which told me the pickup was a California assembly with 4x (F256 vin) and engine code 390 !! kinda cool history.
I didn't buy it because of no paperwork, and DMV cannot divulge info of what kind of penalties are due against the vehicle. I still have a soft spot for the older iron with Divorced transfer cases.

Hogworkzinc2:
You have quite a collection of old rusty fords. It appears you are badly addicted to the Ford-Plague !!
Good luck with your project puzzles and have fun.

Ok, so i know a guy heavy into early ****** jeep pickups and wagons. Just like the early Fords, you may wind up purchasing a pickup, which from the factory was produced as "Cab-and-Chassis" for stakebeds.
I was doing some research on older ****** wagons, and lo-and-behold, some wagons were sold as Fire Dept wagons for suppressing support. No Kidding !
Check out the link below:
****** 4x4 truck for sale: photos, technical specifications, description (topclassiccarsforsale.com)
Moving on, my friend, who goes by the user name of Stakebed on the "old ******" forums is looking to put a 4-speed transmission behind a Ford 302 V-8 in an early ****** wagon. He texted me a photo of the top cover of a 4-speed for sale in a full-size Ford Bronco. I told him he is looking at a New Process 435. I told him my pickup has the NP435 with married NP205 transfer case. Of course he was curious.

Below, i took a shot best I could of how my 435 is connected to the 205 T-case.
Above photo: T-case adapter connecting the NP435 (blue) to the NP205 T-case (near to camera).
Above photo: showing the NP205 T-case adapted to the blue NP435 4-speed transmission.
Above photo: this shows the casting number on the T-case adapter.
I constructed all this way back in 1996, so i do not remember what mainshaft I put in the 435 to accomodate and mate it to the NP205 T-case.
When I assembled my '77 Crewcab longbed project puzzle in 1996-1998 completion, i didn't take any photos because that was way before i got connected to the World-Wide-Web, and Interest Forums.

Therefore, i have no photos show-casing my Crew-Build and cab / chassis swap.
I modified oem Ford crossmember's to accomodate the 4x4 drive-train because my pickup was 2wd factory.
Year 2000 came along, and i purchased my first Digital Camera at Walmart.
