That's my for sale ad, I bought the truck cleaned and fixed a few things and realized it's not really practical for me. It's loads of fun to drive I get a lot of rubbernecking from guys in Super Duty's.
Ok, my bad. That's what I get for assuming. If I was closer I would really consider making an offer. Good luck selling it, it should go fast. Did you try ebay?
Hey everyone, I'm thinking about putting a cummins in my 1979 F250 4x4 automatic crewcab. Which cummins is the best to use for my truck? Any do's or don'ts? I'm not apposed to using a powerstroke, but noticed there isn't too many of these conversions done. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

What is your budget? Do you want mechanical or electronic? Get a 6 cylinder cummins not a 4cyl. If wires don't scare you look for a 06-07 5.9 common rail you can have a smoke free truck with excellent fuel economy and the ability to fine tune your motor with EFI-Live software pretty much a guaranteed 500hp on a stock motor. Transmission is another issue, it could be as simple as a clutch upgrade for a zf, or nv. If you want to go auto there are tons of choices there too just substantially more expensive than the 6 spds. Which ever route you decide might poke around some cummins forums and see what sounds good to you to educate yourself on pros and cons.
