I was thinking if you can get a vacuum pump and a gauge set for a short time. You could vac the system and hold for 24 hours.
That would any pull moisture out of the system. Then you would also know that it was leak free and dry.

yep that is certainly an option. I’ll see if I can rent a pump. I’d really like to vacuum it down for a while since it was exposed. I had everything sealed with bags and tape but it would be good insurance to prevent future issues.
most shops said vacuum 1-2 hours but 24 would be great too
Torque converter nuts (6) ford says not to reuse and I can now see why. The end do the threads are slightly deformed as to allow it not to back off. Nutzzzzz
When I removed the A/C parts everything I planned on reinstalling got a dose of A?C flush
The compressor, receiver/drier and the condenser are the only things not going back in.
I think I used about two quarts of sluse in the flushing tool I got. It's basically a tank with
two ports and a hose with a blow gun for doing the flushing.

This one looks just like the one I got.

CSF all aluminum intercooler Condenser installed Almost looks like a truck again
I’m leaning heavily toward a Mishimoto radiator that’s all aluminum construction. Tired of spending money and the stock radiator I have looks to not be original. Maybe I’ll just clean it up and run it. $800 for a Mishimoto seems excessive
I’m just going to clean mine up and straighten a few fins. It looks relatively new. I think the ford OEM unit is decent. The aftermarket ones that are copies sometimes seem a little shoddy.
can’t wait to get this sucker running. She better purr like a kitten or a grown man is going to cry.

I'm running the full aluminum radiator from IPRRESEARCH.
It looks like my transmission mount is torn and there is a lot of movement in it. I had a slight clunk when I would first take off. My driveshaft is new and greased so it’s not that (I think). New mount is supposed to show up today.
how bad is this to change? Do I have to drop the entire transmission crossmember ?
Not bad at all. When I was putting a new transfer case into the truck I totaled it was quite easy to list things up and work on..
You might end up supporting the transmission and swinging one side of the support down.
