With how many steps did you torque the heads? ARP says 210 ft lbs / 285Nm, but it is tightened in several steps.

Watch that relocation kit for leaking.

I would not put the engine back in with the FICM on. It's too much of a distraction.

Another question: the block was honed by a machine shop, right? How did you clean the oil galleries? Did you have the plugs in the block out for this?

yeah they hot tanked it, did machine work, then they jet washed it to make it sanitary and installed new plugs

After 3 months, the parts for the rebuilt have finally arrived. I have unfortunately forgotten to order the plugs. Do you have any part numbers?

I didn’t order them but I think the oil ones are 3/8 and water 1 1/2”. you can also tap oil galleys for pipe plugs NPT

The block I flushed several times on the coolant side, the plugs on the coolant side looked good, so I will not replace them.
But the plugs for the oil circuit I need.

I've talked about 6.0 ICP relocation kits for some time, so I've also watched their application. Some people have had the fitting fail at the adapter to the HPOP cover, while others seem to have failed at the conversion of the ICP sensor seal, as the kits typically change from the captured o-ring seal to a dry fit seal. I also remember one hose crimp failure. I think JoeBlow had tried a kit.

I fitted up one with steel tubing and used a different adapter. It's not installed as I wanted to install it with the engine in the frame. Plus, I need to buy the tool to cut the original style port for the o-ring. I haven't moved on as you need good drilling equipment, and my woodworking drill press has too much runout for me to be comfortable making the precision port.

Unfortunately you live too far away Jack. Otherwise I would make you the machine work at the ICP sensor port.

I know Hartwig, I know. My old director has a Bridgeport, but I haven't talked to him in years and he's 1.5 hours away. At some point I'll get off my tail and find a local. Or maybe buy the drill press I've always wanted.

I think I’m going to just run it in the stock location. My new up pipes are wrapped so I hope that plus heat shield around the ICP will keep it happy. I replaced it not too long ago. The worry of leaks is really making me hesitant
