We spent the weekend pulling a well pump, crappy weather Friday and Saturday. After fixing some pipe connections, new pump and new wire, it's back working again.

I guess but made for fuel oil.

Now with biocides the stuff you are trying to kill gets use to it so needs to be changed up from time to time, at least in water treatment.

What engine?

Tony, Wesley's F250 has the 5.8 in it. The passenger side bank was difficult to get to because the intake was in the way. It just took longer than expected is all.

I know there's lots of additives to remove water from fuel for diesel fuel. For gasoline, I have no idea.

I thought that filter was from a diesel not a gas motor as I have never seen a gas filter that bad with sludge.

Other than dry gas for water I don't know what else they make.
Now dry gas is alcohol so I wonder if you where to add say a gal. of E85 what that would do?
But it looks like the tank has rusted so I would replace it if you can and get rid of the gas you have now for fresh stuff and from a different station than you et gas from as the water had to come from someplace.

Picked up a 5 gallon air tank and some 10" brackets from Lowe's, looks like I'll have to drill 2-3/8s frame holes, but two line up perfect. Still debating on mounting the air compressor in the toolbox, which makes running the air line and wires a pain or put it under the truck, but it'll be exposed to weather a bit more.

Helping a friend with a 93 F250 with 351w (5.8) engine; harmonic balancer came apart and beat the crap out of the timing cover. When he removed it, it came off in 2 pieces. Top part completely broke away from the bottom! Him & his brother did not know how to remove a harmonic balancer, so they beat & pried on it until the oil pan was a dented mess. I pulled the balancer off in 3 minutes, he was amazed like I was Criss Angel or something. I think they must have left the bolt on while they were fighting it. Anyway never seen anything quite like this. But we ran out of daylight (and it started getting cold!) so we didn't get the job finished yet. But this was what I walked into:

That looks fun John. Can anyone recommend a radiator shop that could braze/solder in a replacement petcock on a brass radiator? The "fix" I did on mine has a real slight leak.

Vintage John,

Looks like you gone and broke something in that engine.

Sorry Dusty, I've never had a radiator repaired.

Dusty, I used to take my radiators to this place. It's been about 11 or 12 years ago since I've been there. The last one I took to get the whole core(4 row)replaced for a class A motorhome that we owned. I had no choice because it was an odd ball and I couldn't find one anywhere. Later on I found out that it was a custom made radiator specifically manufactured for the coach builder. Good luck...get a price before you leave it. You may be shocked and find out that it's cheaper to replace it. I have no idea what prices are these days.

I did not know that, it's a shame. Finding anyone these days that can braze thin brass without getting heavy handed with a torch and burning a hole through it may be tough. I'll check with a couple of folks that I know that may know someone that can do it.

Willie suggested a place that does welding, just not sure if he can/ is used to doing radiators.

Worse comes to worse there is a place on Wilmington that does them. I can get the info if you need it.
