Hey guys! First time posters here at FTE and in the NC section but a long time lurker. I have always had a couple Powerstrokes but got a new 17 this year. Looking forward to hanging out with y'all and gleaming new information!

I'll be checking voltage and conductor size tomorrow. I've found a buried conductor that I think goes up to a panel in a barn. But it could be old and cut and useless. Or even be tied to the main panel outside the cabin. I need to dig it back some and get my wife or kid to flip breakers while I check with the multimeter. It also needs to carry 15amps. So that's 10/2 or 12/2.
I think. Hopfuly the cable is marked.
Going to be cold tomorrow. Cold and blowing tonight.
It was cold, but I spent a little while playing with the truck today.
Got the new column bearing installed, then got my steering shaft made/installed. Also mounted the brake master cylinder, got the brake pedal and gas pedal installed. Then I started hanging sheet metal, got some adjusting to do, but it's looking like a truck again finally.
Photo dump of all the past and current rides.
Current: 17 plati; 00 7.3 and 06 camo 150
Past: 12 plati eco (blown up) 97 OBS 7.3 (sold)
Current plans are keep everything same on both camo f150 and 250. Trying to decide whether want to run 2.5" lift with 37s on 22x10s or 2.5" pintop kit with 18" methods and 37s.
Yesterday after a cement run to Greenville for work and ran trash to the dump I put some time in on the bottom of the bed floor. Got a coat of paint on it to hope make it last.
It was a little cool in the garage so I fired up the heater. About half way thru painting it was getting cold in the garage sure enough ran out of LP.
Was going to get it filled today but the place did not open till 10am and now with the rain who wants to go out?
Next plan is to put the floor on the truck to make more room to work the bed side panels & fenders.

Last Wednesday I had off so got the floor on the truck to make room to work on the flare side bed sides as the lips to bolt them to the floor were rotted away. Also made 2 of the 4 lips I need to replace.
Saturday I made 2 more lips welded all 4 lips to the sides and made 2 of the 4 sheet metal strips I needed as fillers and welded them.
I also ordered the carriage bolts & flange lock nuts to hold the bed side to the floor.
Spent a few more hours in the garage today.
Between my back hurting and needing to get up at 1am for work it was a short day.
Made the other 2 filler strips.
Got all the welding done on the 2 side panels. All but 1 weld ground down, could not get grinder in there so have to pull out the Dremal to do that one. Top side of lip Tail gate end
Head board end
Bottom side showing the panel extensions.
I am not worried on the welds ground smooth as that will not be seen, behind fenders. What will be seen on the other side is maybe 2" to 3" between fenders & the bed up rights and they will get a little filler.
I also need to drill and square think 3 holes on the lip that I filled in with weld to fix them. 2 in this picture.
Next is to strip the panels down to a good base and treat the rust, little body work (filler) before they get primed.

I got a few things done to the truck this weekend.. Roll cage is bolted in, and for the most part welded up. Gonna add a x brace to the back but other than that it's done. Got the radiator back in it, got water pump and fan wires ran. Picked me up a piece of metal to mount my switch panel, and gauges in. Got the hole cut in it for the switch panel and it cut to fit the stock dash just need to pick up a 2" hole saw bit for the gauge holes.
Yesterday I put a new O2 sensor, and sensor wiring harness in my supercrew sincethe ******* previous owner hacked it up when they put the Long tube headers in. I've put about 90 miles on it with no CEL.... hoping to be able to get it inspected tomorrow.
Y'all were both busy, I got a little bit done myself. I've been working on rebuilding a steering column for my 69 F100, and I finally got the chance to go ahead and install it, along with a new Grant "Classic" steering wheel.
I also have been sick of looking at my primered metal dashboard, so I taped it off and sprayed it with bedliner. It's textured and not too glossy, it actually looks pretty good. I hope it holds up well.
I also had to replace my battery, won't bore you with a picture of THAT, mostly because the pic I took failed to get the most important part - the date code from Feb 2011. Never had a battery last 7 years before! This was an EverStart MAXX battery from Wally World.
