Larry looking forward to seeing picturs of how your dash comes out.
John, that dash looks great... are you going to clean up that steering column mounting bracket as well?
There's a cover that goes over the bracket, it was out in the shop waiting for it's fresh coat of paint to dry. Since you reminded me, I went ahead and installed it. Looks pretty good, I use the VHT "roll bar and chassis gloss black", it goes on easy and dries pretty quick, supposed to be fairly tough, and is really like 80% gloss, so it has a nice sheen to it but doesn't reflect light right into your eyes.
James, Sweet Let me know if you want to swing by and shoot the bumper of and install with the impact. It'll make things much easier. I assume it's all bolt-on and no drilling etc. required?
Did you also get the basket and winch so we can wire it up?
John, That's the finishing touch it needed. Looking even better.

Funny it gets a litter warm and it's time to work on our projects.

It's even getting warm enough for me to do stuff out in the shop!
The only tricky part is I want to flip the brackets for the fogs so I can keep them. They will stick out a little further but shouldn't be an issue. I've seen other folks do it.
I'll let you know when I can get some time to come by. Thanks for the offer. Impact wrench will definitely be a plus.

Did a brake flush/bleed yesterday with the pressure bleeder, stops much better now, and a nice firm pedal. Also started sanding down and polishing the center caps that had gouges from a tire shop hitting them with an impact.
I did a little seat work yesterday. I had no support on my back, and the backboard was all ripped and funky anyway. You can see how -not straight- the back of the seat is, it was just as wavy as could be. Once I got the back off I saw that the reason why was that 2 of the support braces were broken. The right way to fix them would be the take all the upholstery and foam off the frame and then weld it back together, but that's way too much time & effort & expense. So I cut a little pipe bracket in half and used it to repair the braces, then I tied several of them together with some flat stock I had. Cut me a new backing board out of luann plywood and it all looks and feels much better! Will paint the backboard black soon, and also throw a seat cover over this old vinyl seat in the next couple of weeks as well.
I'm going to tackle the front hitch this weekend. Most likely Saturday morning. I'll be tied up in the afternoon. If anyone wants to come by and point fingers and laugh you're more than welcome.
