To start us off here is the current trailer build that we worked on together.

The gang hard at work:

Needs a little grinding:

Still have a little work to do but she's road worthy:

Can't tell you how pleased I am with the results. I love it. We all worked hard and made it happen it record time. I really appreciate Josh and Bob lending a hand. And super appreciate Josh providing the bed and shop. I had a great time working together. I'd say we make a great team.

We did get it road worthy in time. I wasn't expecting that we would get it done that quickly, but I didn't anticipate how handy James and Bob are in a shop. I'll post up some of my projects in detail later on. The big one is the F-350 every time I turn around I find one more thing that would be nice. Right now I'm debating pulling the cab and engine. To replace body bushings and clean up the front frame. I guess that's how a lot of full restorations start. But not this one! Not yet at least!

Working with a group of handy folks is fun, and we can take large jobs and make them go quickly. Figure we all like turning a wrench, so given some notice we can plan to get about anything done. And remember, it doesn't always have to be Automotive.

So let's hear, what are your projects and what do you need help with for a fun filled day of hard work!

I like this new build thread. We can get a lot more finished, and have some great visiting to boot.
I'm glad I was able to come out to help with the trailer. I enjoyed the company, it was a nice time and we even got it finished in time. James and I each had other things on our plates for later that day.

Cool pics of the cab swap. Why did you change them out. Was the blue one rusty?

ubereal2 12-13-2015 08:46 AM

The floorboard of the blue cab was like the one on the Flintstones car.:o

But now you can't look for loose change on the road while driving!

Thanks Dusty,
It was a lot of fun to do. It's been a lot of years since I've worked with extremely competent people on a project. Most of the time I'm 'teaching' people about their stuff. This time I got to stand back a minute and watch Bob do the grinding, and he was way more skill-full with that cut off wheel than I am.

Bob, the cab swap is cool. Looks like you had a good group come out and help on that one.

I meant to make it out and get some pictures of the F350 and the on going project last week, however that thing called work seemed to get in the way.

:-blah

Alright. I definitely yanking the nose to put the 360 back in. Heck, I might even paint it.

ubereal2 12-20-2015 07:36 PM

We usually would remove the front clip to do an engine swap, specially on something lifted.:-X22
