Found this online. It shows two plates. Hmmmm. Both look like they are flat plates. You can see the flywheel there and it looks like it has the same shape on the flywheel as the adapter shown in the coffee table book. So this shows a similar flywheel as mine, and two adapter plates. I know we pretty much have a conclusion to that issue, just thought I'd post this.
Anthony,
What would be good to see is a double mass, Non-double mass
and a flex plate set of photos shown in the exploded installation view.
I think that that would answer the question on this flywheel install.
Sean
P.S. WOW it's fall here now wet cold Western Washington Rain.
Anthony.
What are the terms of the warranty PMM is giving you? Does it cover just replacement or are they going to cover the cost of the replacement also? What is the dollar amount?
It looks like I'm going to have to fight to get Blackwater to cover my longblock.
I've gotta call road builders back before I go with anyone tho. They were at 6600 for it all. Maybe I can get them to sharpen the pencil. Maybe just do the heads??? Something. They are great people also
I wonder how much a reman Longblock from Ford is. Maybe Clay at Riffraff can hook it up. I know they are dang affordable for the 7.3 I'm just not sure what they cost for a 6.0.
Dang $9645 plus $3000 core. Thats crazy talk. I did find out that AER is Fords rebuild supplier. I sent the local rep an email to see what he could sell one for. That would be sweet if it was in your price range. OEM everything in that bad boy. I'm sure with a fresh rebuild you could do the studs one at a time and retorque and be ok since it's never been ran. You had ARP's from your old engine right?

Yeah, I've got arp's. their warranty is awesome tho. I wouldn't know how to act with a two year unlimited mileage warranty. Too much money tho.

I think when I priced motors last year it was more than that from a Ford dealer, although it was really really close. Still, that's a lot of $$$ for a working man, however you slice your bread.
I've been watching this thread intently and I'm reserving my opinions until it's ALL said and done and Anthony is back on the road running.
I just dropped my heads off here http://www.performanceblocks.com/
Quoted $800 ballpark for both. It was nice to hear him say I should replace the heads if inj cups need replaced. At least he knew that. He's doing a 6l now, I saw the heads in the washer. And the block was ready for machining. Get this guys, the block he has in there now for work, looked like it was overheated, and melted the oil filter stand pipe, he got it cleaned and thinks he can save the block!!!! Wow. There were plastic pieces in the oil passages. He's ok with me disassembling the block n I might or might not reassemble.
I'm sending my cam to delta camshaft tomorrow am. They have great reviews online. So tonight,,,, more pics, block disassembly. Whu hu. I'm going to the local dealer to see about the full rebuild kit. I've gotta get lifters too. I'm in the air about rocker arms tho. I will post detailed pics later showing their condition.
