I was under the truck this morning getting some measurements since I'm exploring the idea of traction bars and combo units that would address the air bag mounts at the same time. While I was under the truck I noticed that one of the bags looked configured different at rest than the other one. That is when I noticed that the one bag mount had pivoted at some point. Just more evidence why I hate this chincy a** setup. Definitely looking forward to getting something more solid figured out.....
I have the airlift airbags andmounts that sit on the bump stop, for a year so far, I have towed on the roughest roads, up to 18,000 and ran 70psi. Never have they rotated or moved the slightest. The bags dont sit perfectly straight, but they work fine.
I Would prefer an over the spring kit like my firestone kit on my zf6 truck, but the centurion has nice rear wheel well liners to keep mud and slop out from under the bed, and they would interfere with that style bag mount, as would my particular style 5th wheel mount.

Yup, mine suck too in all the same ways... Fixing it soon though...

Unless yours are designed differently than ours, there is only one way to install them. I will be removing them and installing over leaf mounts soon.
Tired of the BS when it comes to the poor lower mount design.
Here’s a first for me. Never had it happen, never heard of it happening.
Went out to the truck this afternoon and what the heck???
No, not the gecko, nor the mandatory for indoor public spaces mask, but the crack in the windshield.
It was perfect yesterday when I parked the truck. Right now we’re in the middle of an unprecedented record breaking heat wave, but hot enough to crack a windshield???
I have contemplated having the windshield resealed based on some of the threads I’ve read about leaks and electrical damage, but have been reluctant based on a sticker attached.
A chip or damage at the edge of a windshield is much more likely to crack during high heat and very cold weather.
It happens.

I’ve personally seen the cold effects on a windshield but there is usually a chip with a small crack that the water gets into and with the freeze / thaw cycle they grow quickly.
This is a first for me where it’s nothing but heat, I’m hard pressed to find anything significant as to where this thing started other than at the top and working it’s way down.
Appreciate your desire to retain the sticker, it really does mean something.
FWIW the stickers were reproduced, and I have a spare... somewhere. I moved last year and I don't know where half my chit is. But maybe somebody else can find one for you.
On edit: source the sticker before replacing the windshield. The correct location will be difficult after install.

It will just have to be replaced. Often they can't even get a good one off without cracking it. If you wanted to get fancy they do have the newer Ford OEM windshields that have the "Super Duty" stenciling in the middle. My step dads 2013 has one of those. I ended up just taking mine to safelite since the insurance company covered it 100% and they did an okay job. Turns out my water leak had nothing to do with the windshield but the new one looks nice anyway.
There are acoustic reducing windshield versions as well for more coin, but the reviews have been mixed from what I remember.
I had my windshield tinted with nearly clear tint that has 99% UV blocking ability. Makes traveling long distance much more comfortable during daylight hours and is unnoticeable during dark.
I did this many years ago and have since had the 2016 Escape done and will soon have the 2008 Subaru done.
Just some ideas for you to consider from the weirdos on the internet.

Never “heard” of that. Seriously though, I would imagine a whole lot of soundproofing would be required throughout the cab before the benefits of an acoustic windshield would be realized.
Bottom line is it will be getting a new resealed windshield so there will be one less worry of a leak there. Glass coverage on our insurance is $300 deductible and is the best policy I could get.
We have a government run insurance corporation so there’s no option on shopping around like geico, or progressive or…
