They certainly are working for a living just like your truck does.

Glad to have some input instead of always being needy.

You are a big contributor to this community sir, don't ever doubt that.

Well, as compressed as they can be based on the pin weight of the 5th wheel and 0 PSI in the bags. These are the AirLift 5000 bags with the internal jounce/bumper. Running them at 0 PSI is what I do when there is no load on the rear axle.

Sometimes if we are camped for more than one night and the truck stays hooked up, I will bring the bags down to 0 PSI and let the trailer rest on the landing gear. These pictures were taken purposely with the pin weight on the truck and 0 PSI in the bags.

Springs are new and OEM replacements as of the same time the bags went in, roughly.

As for not burning the spare parts, I will have to see how the extraction goes and make a decision from there.

I will shoot you some detailed pictures via text to see how serious you are about them.

Hmm. Is that what Airlift says to do? Firestone instructions say to run a minimum of 5psi. I fill mine to ~15psi when unloaded.

As per AirLift. 5psi minimum.

I was always under the impression that the airlift pumps when you deflate leave 5psi in, and a manual full empty would be needed. Not sure, my onboard compressor system comes tonight, so I will learn more.
With the interal jounce zero psi should be ok, although when I tried it it rode worse then having 10psi in, as it is pretty much always on the joust. Each truck and operator is different though

This looks like a nice, simple setup option that would work well, but as I mentioned earlier it says it doesn't work with stock leafs. Something with needing leafs with more curvature than stock. But I don't understand that. Plates look flat. Guess I need to take a closer look at my leafs and look for a reason these wouldn't work properly..... https://www.pmfsuspension.com/Airbag...tes_p_163.html

Or still the lift block indorporated mount option... https://www.pmfsuspension.com/Ford-1...ocks_p_42.html

Sous take a serious look at these options during your research. I will likely follow suit with whichever route you decide to go with....

Those pmf plates prolly wont work because of a lack of room for the bag, as it makes it sit too high, hense more curved/lift springs needed for enough room

Ok, that makes sense. I was looking at it more of a mounting aspect over the leaf pack. Pack being flat and mount being flat. Now I get it.

New tires on the front. Just under $500 mount, balance, stems and taxes.

I will give my opinion once I get some km on them.

Cool! The minimal sidewall curvature indicates they are serious about handing the load.

What brand/model/size?

Love the glossy paint fwiw. Great color.

Nokian Rotiiva AT, 235-85-16.

I only have about 10km on them so far so it’s hard to form any kind of opinion, but they do feel softer on the road yet firm in the corners around town so far.

Next Saturday I have a week trip to my property 900km round trip through the Frazer Canyon BC Hwy#1. I will know if I like them after that.

I have the tankless Wireless One compressor with the remote control in the cab. I have a valve near the license plate in the event the compressor fails.

You guys are right, button 1 is set to 5 PSI and button 2 is set to 45 PSI. So, when I air the bags down, they are at 5 PSI, not 0. I just checked to be sure I was wrong, and I was.

Thought I had a bad pulley since I had a squeaky sound up front.

Pulled the belt and checked all pulleys and all felt smooth with no play or growling.

Replaced the belt with the Gates Green 81223HD from NAPA.

No more squeaky squirrel. Glad I didn’t buy the idler and tensioner at the same time. Saved myself a couple hundred $$$.
