Wondering if the smoking gun is attached to the b1869. Burnt Bulb or “open ground” .
Most of the threads I’ve read where it’s been related to the 5vr still had starter motor operational.
KOEO no bulb check period. Vacuum pump starts its cycle. Turn key to engage starter… Nothing.
Batteries are good 12.3 v.
For reference… backed it into the shop, haven’t touched anything under the hood, changed out the flasher relay to a Novita EP 27 to correct LED Hyperflash. Week later go to start and nothing.
This is a strange one... As Leonard mentioned, check for rodent damage. Pay special attention to the PCM wire bundle on the engine side of the fire wall. Also, pay special attention to the bundle near, before and after the 42 pin connector. Check the main ground point just above the PCM in the engine bay. I suspect you have an open circuit that supplies ground or 12v to the PCM.
Best I can tell the B1869 is an airbag circuit DTC and should not cause the PCM to lose power.
Keep talking to us and keep looking, we will help you get it sorted out.
I can't say for sure on the immobilizer, but on many makes there is more of an indication someqhere that it is inhibiting start. Either on the dash or in the ECU somewhere.
The only reason I’m looking at the B1869 is because this is the first it’s ever come up. Maybe a common ground causing the open circuit.
Also have to research the immobilizer and how exactly it functions to disable.
I will find the problem. It’s just the process that can be a little daunting. Especially with my wife saying “Get it towed somewhere”.
Tell her to give you a shot at getting it right...
The B1869 DTC may be related, or just coincidence.
Lastly, have a glance around at the wire bundles and according to the wire maps/diagrams you printed out, but don't do anything physically until you get the immobilizer figured out. I am hopeful that the immobilizer trigged or is wigging out and this will be an easy fix. Some of them have a valet mode you may be able to initiate easily.
