Starting Point
Honey Do list was long this weekend.
Managed some time in the shop but didn’t get a chance to get to the harness install.
Luyed 3056 are installed and working properly now that I have tweaked the contacts.
Sealight 3057 are in for signals and brake lights. Hyper flash Engage. Damn those things flash quickly. Not sure if I’m gonna leave it that way or order some resistors to smarten that up.
Killed the batteries. Multiple key on off cycles to check lights = multiple GPR cycles. 1/2hr on the charger and she flashed up.
Since yesterday was above freezing I took it down to the station and topped up the tank to get some winter fuel into it.

My gosh… what a difference and it’s still light out. I’m going for a drive tonight.
Anybody that has ever had the pleasure of getting to the flasher relay will easily relate to me. I am not a violent man but I did threaten to choke the person who designed that location. Plus a few colourful words muttered under my breath as I was attempting the double jointed, while standing on my head, break pedal poking me, flashlight blinding me manoeuvre.

1- 7mm bolt holds the bracket for the heater extension duct. Pull the extension out of the way and there’s way more room to get in there with your hand.
Probably take me less than 20 minutes start to finish if I ever need to do it again, but I bet I was 1-1/2 hours today.
I could easily outdrive the old housings and bulbs on a winding dark road.
The ‘03’ housings smartened that up.
The 80/100’s with the relay harness… let’s just say I won’t be having driver fatigue from straining to see.
The LED 194’s all the way around sure are bright as well as you can see on the cab and dually fenders.
I had to take this picture from about 35’ away any closer and it was just a bunch of big glowing things with no definition.

I went to the relay harness when I was sitting behind a car at night and I could see the lights strobing a bit as the engine idled. Plus, the OEM setup was very substandard in my opinion.
If the low beam is now 80 instead of the stock 55 and if anybody that has ever driven in the fog knows high beams will actually blind the driver by putting a wall of light onto the fog. I’m hoping that the low beams directed down will not have that effect even though they are brighter.
@SkySkiJason do you know how these bulbs on low beam perform in the fog?
On a whim I showed him the Riff Raff CNC Hydra mount and asked him if he could print on for me.
3 days later he dropped off 2. This weekend I hope to get enough time to install it. Way better than than Velcro.
I only need one. First person to PM me gets the spare.
