Looking them up in DC's catalog I see they are listed for 4X2 only. The front mounts are the same but the rear mounts are different between 4X2 and 4X4.
***Hey Bill, can you please post Body Illustration section 000, pages 33,34, and 35. This will show the OP that the rear mounts are the same 64/66 and 67/72 4X4.
I will look for Bill to post. Did you see the pics I posted of the absorbers? The deeper issue is that what is in the OEM Ford box has a different number stamped on the rubber. Maybe it's the right part number on the box but wrong rubber in the box.
I will hold off on sending parts back to see the pages you asked Bill to post.
Green Sales does not have the OEM absorbers.
In the mean time - Jeff, can you tell me what part numbers you show for the rad support "absorbers" 4x4? DC has them for the F250 4x2 but guy said it was not showing a fit for the 4x4.

The C4TZ numbers are part numbers. The C6TA numbers are Engineering numbers. Two different animals. The engineering number is for the assembly line and Engineering dept. A Ford Parts man such as myself would cross engineering numbers over to their part numbers. You are putting the cart before the horse. You haven't mounted them yet. You feel how soft of rubber they are? They are going to smash down when you mount them.

Ok, that is maybe good news. Yes they are firm but soft enough they would compress down. So with that in mind I would need new hardware that pulls the cab absorber parts together(upper and lower). What are those part numbers for the metal parts that go on top and bottom and somehow screw together? And where can I buy them?
Are you saying the C4TZ and C6TA mean the same part?
C4TZ-8100154-D is the same as C6TA-8100154-C AU ?
On the numbers above I spoke with David over at Green Sales today and he said the absorbers for the 4x4 rad support were the same upper and lower as the cab absobers. Can you confirm if I heard him right? And it looks like whatever hardware is needed for the rad support, I will need to find those parts as well. Appreciate those part numbers ans where to buy as well.
C4TZ-8100155-D and C4TZ-8100154-D (upper and lower absorbers 1972 4x4)
I'm not following you when you say "you are putting the cart before the horse" ...?
On the install question... I'm getting everything I need now but will not be installing those parts for a couple of months. So I have time to track down items I need. My goal is to have all the parts I can think of, that way I will take apart and rebuild same week.
I know we'll figure this out... thanks for the help!!!
The radiator support insulators are not 4X4 specific. All 67/72 Bumps were the same. And Ford replaced the Bump absorbers with the Dent absorbers. Sot they ended up being 67/79
Upper...D3TZ1000396C. Replaced C5TZ8100154A. none of my part number change slides if and what the D3tz number may have been replaced by.

F250, I have been traveling for a bit, so took the time to catch up on a few pages of your thread.. Nice and clean amigo, good work there, and I have to congratulate you on taking your time to do it right, you will be happier in the long run, if you do not rush. I have been quoted here, as saying... "Proceed at the speed of Right"... and you know the rest.. Isn't this site great? You bet.. Bump members are the best with help, information, and courteous suggestions..

You've got it right amigo, looks perfect.
I did get those HD hub centers, from Montana 4x4, and while they are a bit spendy, (Wisconsin word, but I have fun with it), they seem to be very very good quality, and a sturdy match for the pinche plastic ones... Love that copper coat...
I brought the chrome parts from the outer part of my hubs, with me to Pa. and while here, I will find a shop to re-chrome them for me, and will post some photos when they are done.. Might be 3 or 4 weeks, so when you finish your truck, do not drop off the edge of the world..

My boss at the power plant, is a gearhead, and will know, if anybody knows. We are staying about 30 min. from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, and I cannot imagine that there is not a re-chrome shop in the area... I will check after I start work/training on Mon...
