Ugg666 that blade sounds pretty interesting, post up a couple pics of that when you get a chance!
What he said.
What size tractor does that blade fit?
As for motivation I want to get paint on this truck before it gets too hot.
I got the truck Dec. 2015 and other than a not so good short test drive I have not driven it and I want to!
The front suspension is a redo as the good parts I installed will not allow me to install the after market wheels that came with the truck, wrong bolt pattern.
This is the last of the mechanical that I can think of, body work to the 2 rear fenders & hood before paint.
So close yet so far away!

Mentioned tonight about a guy who came to my place to pick up some stuff I had on craigslist, he showed up in a Prius towing a 14 foot boat trailer that he had converted into a utility trailer. Goes to show, you don't need a Ford truck to be able to haul stuff I guess!
He says this is his every-day thing, gets up and checks craigslist "free" ads, goes all over to get stuff, repairs and resells items, etc. Does it all with his Prius and trailer.
Hey 77mud, be sure to let us know if you'll be doing any mud bog races this summer, would love to come out again.
Planning in my first one of the Year Saturday... It's a Big race in Newport, like $16,000 in payouts. I posted a list in the Events tab of Jump and Run in Hubert race schedule I believe, I'll have to check and bump it.
Got the oil changed in the truck today, only thing I really got left to finish is toss the bumper on, top off the transmission and the fuel and should be ready for Saturday.
I did finally get the stickers on the truck that the wife cut for me.
Well after we get moved, I'll finally have something to share in the "Works Thread".
I've snagged a 460 for Ka'Bluey! Should be a nice improvement from that nearly worn out 400.
The poly axle bushings came Friday, radius bushings on back order but the ones I have are if great shape. So in prep for them you have to remove just the rubber & inner metal bushing but leave the outer metal. So I soaked the old bushings in gas over night.
Saturday morning I had a little fire to cook the rubber bushings and it worked great.
Next was to install the spindles on the axle beams. I had new king pin bushings pressed in and reamed back around the holiday 4 months ago.
First look over I found the bushings were pressed in a little too far so you could not get the axle beam, bearing or shims in so I took hand files so the bushings were flush.
Then I found the shop reamed each bushing for the pin to fit but did not ream both parallel to each other so the pin would not even fit just the spindles.
With no money ($100) for another pin kit, I used a wheel cly hone to open up the bushings so I could get the pins installed. They are a little tight to turn by hand on the spindles but if I did not do this you could not turn them at all.
I can not tell you how many times I had to drive the pins in & out and hone and try turning to get it to this point. Took me all day Saturday to get both spindles on the axles and did not like how one of them turned so I pulled it apart Sunday to do more honing and like how it turns now.
The disc brake dust shields for this setup had a little rot on 1. Well in checking if the set that was on the truck (from the parts truck) would work and found no they will not. One set has a different dish, I need the deeper dish that has the rot but not bad.
With all that it was time to prep and paint the beams, spindles & dust shields. Axles/spindles hanging and the dust shields on the hood.
I will pick up new brake pads and wheel bearing seals during the week. I hope to get the front suspension installed next weekend with the new poly bushings and back on all 4's again.

Bob, what you gonna do with that old 400? I'm looking for one to rebuild. How worn out are we talking?
What he said.

the blade was found when i was trying to chainsaw a tree down, it had sort of become part of the tree. It made for an interesting tree removal.
As far as I can tell it's the cutting blade edge from a scraper blade, 3 point type.
Nice big lump of thick metal which is already free.

If you want to make the nearly 2000 mile, round trip drive, you can have it!
I say it's worn out, but every time I kick the truck in the butt, it'll bust those heavy 37" tires lose. I does run low oil pressure, but that's the nature of the beast for the 351M, and the 400 both. They just don't have much oil pressure.
Bob the 351M, 400, and 351C all have the oil pressure sending unit at the back of the motor behind the intake, so that oil pressure reading is near the end of it's journey. I bet if it was taking the reading up close to the oil filter like a 302 it would be showing 20 pounds more.
Matt I thought of you when I saw Bob's post, but I wasn't sure if you knew he moved home to Missouri!
