Great work morning. Enjoyed hanging out with the NC crew. I think we got a lot done in a short amount of time.
At one point I looked up and everyone was beating, banging, grinding or whirrrring on something all at the same time. Like a symphony.
Sorry about your tire Bob.
Yep, I think a lot got done that day. With the rain today, i hope it doesn't set things back to far on the bed. It's fully sanded and started on the Bondo. I think I have most dents handled, though, hopefully I can convince Bob to come back out this week, and teach me a little more on what I'm doing wrong. I also broke down and ordered a low power electric DA, and some 5 inch discs. Dusty and I picked up a pack of 6 inch discs from the store at about 1$\disc, the pack I ordered is 30 for 10 I believe. Auto parts store's must make good money on the items like that on the shelf. I did think about getting a bigger compressor and tank, but Mary (along with my wallet) stopped that idea.
Looks like this weekend is time to replace the driver's side ball joints and yank and reseal the Front differential on the f250. If I get time, it's getting a drain plug added to it.
Spent Friday and Saturday working in the shop. With the help of Dusty, we were able to get it installed, despite having a few missing\incorrect parts. Been a very relaxing couple of days.
I rolled a 96 about 5.5 years ago, 4 years ago I bought a 92 F150 that was supposed to just be cab, but turned out to be complete minus bed/bumper for $200 with 300/5speed and 3-4" lift. I never really worked on it but the wife showed interest in racing the other day but won't crawl in the 77.
Going to swap the white cab into the Blue truck frame.
Gonna be a EFI 300 out if the 96 with a 4 barrel intake swapped on, chevy 292 rocker arms for a bit more lift crane cams fireball 6 box. Then a C6 and either a 208 or one of the 1356 T case's I have laying around. I also have some 4.11 years fornthe 8.8 if I decide to do that, and it will be welded spiders.
I was hoping to get started on tear down on the parts truck this weekend. But I forgot I had to do alot of **** to my Neighbors mud truck so I guess we will see.
Well tomorrow morning I guess I will start by doing gear oil changes on both axles in a chevy, then pull hubs apart and re pack them with grease, install a set of hood pins, and then if I habe time see why his fromt drive shaft is hitting the crossmember.
If I get all that done I'm going to bring my parts truck to the house and start tearing it down.
Worked on the cab a little last night and the bed as well, The bed is really starting to feel pretty smooth again. There are a couple of minor spots I am not happy with, but I think it's time soon to move on to the next big thing which is the cab. Just waiting on that till I have a whole weekend to work on it. As I'll want it outside to clean and remove the rust due to dust and since I have a window out of it I don't want to leave it out with rain.

Did a bunch of work to my buddies chevy this morning. Then went on a search for a engine lift since mine has seen better days. After talking with a guy all morning who couldn't keep his story straight I said screw it and went to AutoZone and ordered a brand new one.
The to my parents house to pickup part of project Reincarnation.
I present the body donor for the future mud truck that my wife as already named "Lil Mrs. Blue" since it is being built for her.
And I started to tear it down a little, hope to be pulling the cab next weekend.
I'm actually enjoying it. I didn't think I would, but once you get over the initial learning curve it's rather fun. It does help to have a group of good people show up and help get you through the tough parts, and some one as knowledgeable as Bob around to give direction.
I'm really looking forward to being able to spray it and see what happens the first time.
