Well transmission is officially in and bolted to the engine.
Tomorrow morning the plan is to setup the 9" housing with the spool. Then once I am able to get a little help I hope to try and set the cab on the frame.
Well I was able to get a little help fairly early this morning, so I got a little somewhere with the truck.
Cab is in place, just need to snug it down. I didn't get to the rearend because when I pressed the bearings on, they decided to self destruct so I got fed up with it and set it to the side.

Got another little step done today. Got the spool setup in the 9", and got the axle put back together. On top of the spool and new carrier bearings I put in a new pinion seal, and wheel seals. Axle should be ready to roll under the truck whenever I decide to jack up the rearend and roll the 8.8 out, and the 9" with 4" lift back under.
Haven't set any plans in stone for Memorial Day weekend, which is why I haven't been in touch. The cab isn't ready for paint yet either so that won't be happening this weekend. I'm hoping to get something on the smoker this weekend and spend a day finishing off the cab. Im sure if I knew what I was doing, it would go much faster, but it's getting done, and i'm happy with most of it, so far, well maybe except for that one cab corner. I'm really tempted to order a replacement, for damage not rust though. I'm going to try to shape the filler one more time though.
I understand that. Yeah, if you can't get the corner like you want it you may as well replace it. If you don't it's going to bug you after you get it painted and you will be kicking yourself after all the hard work that you've put into it. You're doing a good job though. LOL, bodywork is not in my bag of tricks. I've always had to barter or pay someone to do it for me. Fortunately I've not had to have that much done in the past.

Id replace it. Get some weldable primer to coat the inside area of the cab and patch.
Picked up these to use on the f250 ( cab and chassis rollover valves) and grabbed a 94+ brake controller pigtail to splice into it so I can use a regular brake controller and harness.
Yep, already done the front, rear leaks, gonna yank the bed and find where the issue is. Front will take as much fuel as you can throw at it, rear, have to trickle it in even with the 5/8s vent hose and gutted filler neck. As much as I drive, and after putting in a new fsv, pickup feet and a new rear tank, I'd like to be able to use both.

Did both your shower heads break off?
I've lost the sending unit in the front tank. Went from full at fill up to 3/4, 1/2 and now empty with a full tank..lol

They were both shot and my rear sender is dead on, front reads overfull and runs out at 1/4 tank.
