Pepboys on hwy 70 got the camber set pretty decent on the 250, I think this is the first time the camber has been within specs since I replaced those springs years ago.
Well my little brother was towing a horse trailer to Raleigh for my little sister 4H horse show this week/weekend. They left yesterday afternoon, and were using my 7.3 dually to tow it up. Just before 2 my phone rings, and its him calling so I know its not good... well he says one of the pulleys broke and sends me a picture.... the Vacuum pump decided to commit suicide between New Bern and Kinston. So I hop on the phone and track one down at the James city carquest. I left work grabbed it and made my way to them and changed it on the side of highway 70 with VERYYYY limited tools...
Damn Larry, must be the time of the year for those vacuum pumps to go. Never had one break off, have had the bolts fall out of the bracket holding it on though.

Yea I was surprised by the carnage... it snapped off, and the pulley froze solid. I'm sure it made some noise but you couldn't hear it over that 7.3 clanking
Since it was a sunny weekend, got around to painting the other door panel I had sitting around. Should look ok once I get the trim swapped onto it. Next project is fixing the a/c on the sport Trac.
Hey Dustin, did you have any spares of the pull handle on the interior door panels. I'm finding it frustrating to not have anything solid to grab onto.
Also, I have a new Junk yard for us to check out. It's down close to my house. It's not set up all nice like LKQ, but rather just tons of vehicles sitting in weeds. Took someone to pull an axle earlier this month. It looks like there are a lot of good parts, if we can find any bricks in there. It doesn't look like they flush the inventory... ever...
Well I welded on the traction bar axle mounts today, that was a actual paint in the ***. Got to pickup some bolts and drill a couple holes to get the frame side mount done. Waiting on pushrods still then engine will be ready to drop in the truck.

I don't have any that are usable, I know there's a 87-91 f150 at lkq Clayton. Usually those armrests are one of the first things to break.
got both my mustang and truck inspected today both passed... now i gotta go to the title place and get new stickers for the plates...

yep. I believe it. May see what I can do with what I have then.
On other news, finished up the pantry for Catherine (at least the walls and the shelves) so I got to move on to the next project. Preacher's A\C. Got the machine pulling the vacuum right now. Give it about 15 minutes then I'll have the machine run a leak down test. Fingers are crossed that all seals are good.
Well I went out to cut grass this morning and my older neighbor was pulling up in the driveway on his John deer lawn tractor. It's got a little 4.5' front bucket on it. He wanted some teeth on it... but didn't want them bolted on just wanted them welded on... so I hung it up on the engine hoist and welded them up for him.
That picture was while I was welding it, I ran 2 more beads after the pic was taken.
And yes I asked if he would rather I bolt them on but he wanted them welded.....
looks like a bucket that fits the 1025R's... hopefully he realizes those buckets arent real "strong" theyre only rated to 800 lbs.. people have tried using those clamp on forks with them and bent the crap outta them...

Lawn Tractor as in what you buy at lowes or one with actual hydraulics? Anything under 40 horse I consider a small/compact tractor.
