A smart *** driving a Ford truck? I'd never have imagined the like!
Larry,
You know you won't be happy with a toyota or nissan. Go for a early 90's Ranger with the 6 cyl and extended cab. Gives plenty of leg room, even I don't fit that well in a Toyota or Nissan, plus people that have them want gold for them, Rangers are still dirt cheap.
It may sound weird but I honestly want a single cab with the 2.3 and 5 speed.... my first truck was a single 88 2.9 5 speed 4x4 ranger.
Larry, Your call but I would avoid Nissan unless you want cracker john to drop a small block chevy engine in it. Toyota's carry a huge premium and I don't think they are worth it. Folks want big money for a ratted out taco with 260k miles on it. Rangers have their own issues but are well known and easily fixed. Either way have fun shopping and hope you find something you like whatever the brand.
I use to have a Nissan, it wasn't so bad. Also had a old Toyota, it was pretty sweet. I checked out a 02 ranger today that was supposed to only have bed rust... except the ****ing back of the frame had rusted off and he had the bumper rachet strapped I'm it.
I'm supposes to go look at a older ranger Saturday morning aslong as nothing changes between now and then.
Soooooo plans already changed. I had intended on driving to Wilmington Saturday morning to look at a 88 2.3 5 speed, well this popped up on Craigslist earlier about 3 miles from my house. It's a 94 2.3 4cly 5speed, receipt in hand for a brand new clutch, flywheel, and slave cylinder. I'll be picking it up Friday afternoon.
Larry, that was quick. You don't mess around...lol.
Nope! I honestly didn't expect the Volvo to sell as quick as it did. But since it did time to pickup a new DD. I'd love to DD the super crew, but that damn 13mpg would kill me in gas.

NICE! that first truck reminds me of the truck I learned to drive in and took the driving test in. First time I took the test, they failed me for riding the clutch. Second time I took it, I thought i failed when I took a turn she didn't tell me to take. It was the old pepsi (coca-cola maybe) road in Aberdeen. Single lane. So she told be to go back to the office, i threw it in the fastest 3 point turn I could, thinking I'd failed... I've always thought she passed me just for pulling off a 3 point turn in a long bed 5 speed on a single lane road.
