Thanks Tony, it was nice spending the day with the ol' truck. I had to fire him up and run em' around town too. Been setting in that same spot for weeks.
That bumper looks really nice. The 78' and 79' bumper is more flat where yours is rounded off. I like the way those lights are mounted to the push bar. And the rings that you have on the bottom, to hook Chebby's up to.

That's the only thing I've used it for so far! But the Chevy was mine so I guess there goes my bragging rights
I got home from work and jumped straight on ball joints and sway bar links on my grandma's 97 explorer... Passenger side was a peice if cake. Drivers side sucked. But they are done and it drives down the road nice and smooth now. I got the alignment close as I could but with a proper alignment and new tires it should be perfect.
so i got some more sanding and grinding done tonight. not too bad, lots of expected dings, whacks and rust that all tailgates 40 years old have. Me biggest fear is still to come, removing the big metal piece sandwiched on top of core structure. Not sure how to remove it yet or if it even can be removed (im sure it can) but i know theres going to be lots of rust underneath from trapped moisture, etc..
So far so good John. I'd bet the rest of that tailgate is in pretty good condition. May find some more rust spots at the clips that hold the panel on. Your sure getting it knocked out pretty quick.
Yesterday I did finally put in the box, to the glove box of Ka'Bluey. I snagged one a few weeks ago, and forgot about it. I also changed out the screws that I used when I put the factory grill in Ka'Bluey. The heads of the screws that I used weren't much larger than the holes. So after finding some screws with larger heads, I used them instead. I really don't want to lose that going down the road, and then running over it.
