Well alright Matt, your going to town on your truck
I'd still like to meet you and turn a wrench in the near future.
Same here Bob. Next two weekends look like they might be a wash, this weekend due to rain, next weekend I'm supposed to be fishing out west on Saturday, and taking my son to a Hunter education course on Sunday. I may go through withdrawal if I can work on the truck for a whole two weeks!

I need to get outside and get some things done to Ka'Bluey. I really need to knock the rust off and get a coat of Epoxy Primer on him so he doesn't rust.
Bob, how much PPG primer do you think it would take to cover my truck?
I'd go ahead and get a full gallon. That gives some primer for sanding and blocking down body work.
And before paint, I'd get a gallon of "Sealer" for a good solid base for new paint to adhear too.

So I found 2 gallons of I think PPG Primer down in the shop. What kind of primer did you want for Ka'Bluey?
I got underneath Ka'Bluey yesterday to see what that chirping sound was. It sounded like a broken/loose exhaust hanger was letting something lightly tap on the exhaust, but it was enough to drive me insane, and that isn't a long trip to get there.
I lucked out, and it was the metal vacuum line coming down to the modulator valve, and just like it sounded, it was just tapping the exhaust, and even with the noise from the stacks, it was more than loud enough to hear.
We have friends coming over sometime today, to visit and pop a couple tops. So tomorrow, I think I'll fire Ka'Bluey up and go play around town for a bit.
Got the fuel pumps put together and in the tanks. Found the new vent seals were just a little off, so I'll be having to remove some rubber to make it all fit. Not a lot though. I'm hoping to get it to turn over and maybe even run on some ether this month, and then pull off the front radiator support. One of the bushings is completely missing. I have a poly set from an extended cab to start those with, at least. I'd like to spray the front nose with some primer and paint, even if it's just the gloss black Rustoleum that I have for the el cheapo spray gun.

What size vents does the tank use? a ford seal fit in the spectra tank I put in well. Had to drop it and reseal it because I didn't have the lock ring down all the way...
5/8s vent hose sure does help filling up though.
The seals fit in the tank, the new vents don't fit in the seals. I thought maybe wrong vents, but they look identical to the ones that came out. It could be wrong seals, but the old were so dried out they disintegrated pretty much when I pulled them. Shouldn't take much to get it all together, once I get chance.

Bet they are for the smaller valves. Yours have the one barb with 1/4 hose or the larger 2 barbed style?
