Thanks! I started to back it off the trailer and start on the water pump... wife convinced me to take a bike ride to dinner instead. So this morning after taking a bike ride to breakfast with friends it'll be back to start on the water pump.
Went into work this morning for a couple hours, the job is a 5 hour job and it's all OT. If you get it done in 6 your screwed. If you do it like I did and knock it out in 2.5 you get paid to cut your grass and pull a water pump.
So got the old pump off, ran and picked up a new pump and got it all buttoned back up. Just need to pickup a 1/2" npt plug to block off the heater core hose so I can get rid of the old hose with a bolt in it.
Also found my issue with my electric fan, ended up being a bad ground so I just got to pickup some new connector for that and I should be good to go.
Josh, Thanks again for giving my friend some good knowledge on his Mercedes. He decided to have it towed to a local import specialist here in town to have it fixed. Sorry to bother you on a day off but you know how far we go for friends. Thanks buddy.

It's nice to have all that room around the engine to work. My Ranger is the only vehicle I have that's like that.

Anytime *****. I hope ya'll got a chance to pull the module and check it, I also hope it wasn't full of fluid, but knowing those cars...
Josh if you have a jeep or truck project going on this weekend, let me know. I don't think I have anything going on right now. And that may be a decent drive for Ka'Bluey over to your house. Marty's is the furthest I've driven him.

Bob,
Will do.
Got some shots of the fuel selector valve that we were talking about yesterday. Dusty can you tell which one it is? I think it's working fine, but if it's the one that used on the diesel's as well, that may help finding an extra a cake walk.
My understanding of this system is:
The in tanks pumps are switched by the toggle on the dash, these provide about 5 psi of pressure, when activated the pressure switches the selector valve (pivot plate) which provides the fuel to the in line (35 psi) pump, which takes it and pushes it to the fuel rail. The pump (inline and in tanks) are easy to find. I'm having trouble finding pre made fuel line to replace all the brittle fuel line from the back to the front.
2 lines from the rear tank to the selector
2 lines from the mid ship tank to the selector
one line from selector to in line pump.
short line from pump to filter
line from filter to fuel rail
line from fuel rail to selector (return).
Bronco graveyard has the lines for a regular cab long bed, single tank, but not the ones for my truck.
Any other site suggestions to look at?
Fuel selector valve, four in two out. It switches the intake and return lines from one tank to the other.
Fuel filter. I carry extras of these, lots of extras.
