I'm going to have to check with the GF. I just found out my old highschool buddy is closing his shop in Fayetteville and bringing it home. However, the shop on the property isn't finished. I went down and put up two of the walls with him a few weeks ago, and thought some guys from his MC club were going to do the rest. However that isn't the case. The military has him on full disability now, so he can use all the help he can get. I just found out yesterday it wasn't finished. I'll be down there Saturday working with him all day. So as long as the GF is ok with not seeing me much this weekend, I'll still help out on Sunday.
James:
I got all the wires hooked back up as they were. I took apart the control box, and found one of the buttons had come apart, as well as the busted switch. Straight wired the safety switch and have been touching the wires together on the buttons. Using the 55 amp battery charger, I'm able to get it to turn back and forth, but even with out a load it's pulling 55 amps, and throwing the breaker on the little battery charger. However she's a turning. According to warn That's normal. It also clicks alot, but I'm ok with that as long as she pulls line.
As for line. She's run the same cable she's always ran for years. I've never put a lot into the winch, and at this point I'm not sure I would put a new line on her. She's at the end of the rope so to speak. Just checking prices though, and she's still 4 times the winch, price wise, as any other's I've found. I'm going to wire her back up to the jeep and see how she does with a higher amperage input system. I hope I'll get to that this week. If that works, then it's off to rat shack for a new project box, with all the fixings to remake the control harness.
I did plug the Wireless remote in, and get it to turn on and program, but it doesn't do a thing, I guess all the home made wiring killed the main controller, though my initial research says that it should work for that winch.
Marty came over today, and while babysitting the smoker, we managed to get ALL of the lights working like they should on Ka'Bluey
Sat by the smoker and ate a few Brats that I had there with the Hickory wood. Thenn a couple of cold drinks
Thanks again for the hand Matry. Made for a great day
Drop of a hat work day on Ka'Bluey tomorrow. Sounds like we may get some wrench time in on Josh's Jeep and winch too.
For Ka'BLuey, I'm planning on a good time with a grease gun, new oil and filter. Both rear axle seals, Pinion seal, and rear brakes.
