Sorry, change of plans on my end. Taking the wife out this morning and doing some errands. May just get some Ka'Bluey time in later today, in the driveway.
Looks like I'm going to have to get creative with the jeeps upper control arm mount. I'll weld it and it'll rip again right above the weld.
These pics were stolen off the internet but it'll paint a better picture than I can describe.
This is essentially what it should look like.
This is pretty close to what it looks like now, but not quite this bad. It's still somewhat attached.
This is pretty close to what I intend to do to it, but I'm gonna add a little more support to it.
First is the little brother has got to wash it really well and pull the track bar and all the steering. Then I got to grind down all the welds that are caked on it from not taking the time to do it right and pulling stuff so I could weld instead I bubble gummed it on there hoping it would hold.
We had a Transmission pulling get together today. Josh and I gave Kurt a hand out in the middle of no place. But we had a really, nice time, and brought home a nice 4 speed automatic transmission, drank a few of Kurt, and his wife Susan's beer
I even brought home a really SWEET tool box to go in the back of Ka'Bluey, thanks Kurt, n Susan
That pretty little girl is Kurt, and Susan"s girl, Gracie, and what a sweetheart she is. She even hopped in my truck with me to ride back to the house to load up a truck tool box that Kurt gave to me to put in the back of Ka'Bluey.
As you can see, Gracie, passed out on Dad's lap, I couldn't resist taking a picture.
THen we seen how many beer's Kurt n Susan had in the Fridge. Then we lined up the empty ones on the table...

Hey,
Can't say enough about how great it was to have Bob and Josh with me yesterday. There is, without a doubt, that it wouldn't have gotten done without them!!!!
Thanks for all of the hard work and taking the load off of the shelves in my fridge.
I owe you both, big time!
I have that leaking left rear axle out of Ka'Bluey. Now I'm looking for a shop that will remove the bearing, replace the seal, then press the bearing back on the axle.
So far I've found one place in Raleigh that wants $42 for a 20 minute job
Saturday morning bright and early we will be doing a gear swap on my buddies 78 F250 rear axle to 4.56s.really hoping it goes smooth and doesn't fight me the whole way.
