Yeah I've been following it recently, I just spoke with the guy and he said for $600 he will deliver it to me lol I told him deal he just needs to check with his friend first who wanted it a while ago.
I'm doing compounds with a couple normal 12v to get to 400hp and hopefully around 800ft. lbs. of torque area, I have a list I can rattle off a little later lol.
Yes potentially, i have 4 years until my truck no longer needs to pass emissions in Mass but I think i can trick the PCM with the emissions stuff for now.
Lol the number i see are usually like 400 hp = 800 ftlbs and 500hp = 1000 ftlbs. not sure how true this is but people post those numbers everywhere on the dodge forums.
My list consists of the following:
-5x12 Injectors
-3-4k Gov springs
-ARP Studs
-Airdog Fuel Pump
-Twin Turbo's (not ironed out the two i want yet)
-some engine adjustments such as fuel pin star wheel etc.
-Snowperformance Water/Meth Injection kit
-Rebuild kit
The Allison transmission swap is proving to be much easier than keeping my 4R100 because the cummins has an adapter plate available for less than half the cost of a destroked adapter plate for the 4r100 that mates it to the Allison transmissions.
That's some not all but most things there isn't much that really needs to be done to get to 400hp/800ftlbs aside form making engine tweaks on he pump etc. I can get prices later but that is my list off the top of my head right now, the motor is gonna get here at about 4:30 so another hour and a half lol so god damn excited...I'm like a kid in a candy shop.
I was going to say is it a good idea to upgrade that thing to that much power with a stock 4R100.
I would personally do a ZF6 or Allison swap. Them Allison transmissions bolted to a cummins with a ford body is going to be bulletproof. that is my opinion at least.
Trav
Yeah my original plan was to build the 4R100 but then i realized i can get all the cummins to Allison adapter plates for way cheaper than the Cummins to any ford transmission adapter plates. Also i will now have 6 gears instead of 4 which will really help on the highway for those long drives...and now i will get roughly 800-900 miles per tank with the Ex tank installed if i get the MPG's I'm expecting with my set up!
Go the engine last night!
It's a 92 Cummins VE Pumped motor that runs with a minor injection pump leak, exhaust gasket leak and a small rear main seal leak. I planned to rebuild the engine anyway which made this an impeccable deal for me! a rebuild kit for this engine goes for roughly $600-$850 depending on the place and quality of the kit. I plan to paint the motor black and all the valve cover and tubing (intercooler pipes etc.) will be PTM gray like the interior. She is very greasy right now so first thing i will do is clean it all off then start painting it.
