My girlfriend has a 2013 fusion titanium. They're awesome. 2.0l ecoboost awd, quite fast, but handles like a boat. Definitely needs sways, strut ties, and springs. As of right now the only mechanical stuff I can find I'd through Steeda, rear sway, front strut tower, and .75" springs.

Ok...seriously this forum is horrible for my bank account lol. The one we are looking at is the 1.6l ecoboost and is FWD but it's still nice. I would rather the 2.0l AWD but it's cheaper and it's all she needs.

Got the side vents painted and also the new emblem is installed!

The fusion unfortunately will not happen the dealership didn't seem like they would work with us that much. the most i could get them down was $300 despite there were other fusions with less miles and the same trim. They would not give us crap for the Focus either so we are going to sit on it for now and wait till it is payed off then look again or if a better deal comes up that my fiance likes we may hop on it.

No just the title and that we will have to drive out to Pennsylvania every year for inspection now lol. I was under the impression that we were getting the loan payments and everything on the Focus which is what i was told was going to happen so i said screw it if we are gonna make payments on a car that is inherited and has a bad title then i want to get something we (she lol) both want.

Basically it's her moms car which she gave to my fiance to drive since she got a newer Lexus and she was going to make payments up until she graduates next year. But her mom is now moving to PA so I was told by my fiance that we (me lol) would be making the payments and paying the insurance and since she is only 20 and i am only 21 our insurance rates suck until we hit the magic 25 mark so i said lets get something we want instead.

Your insurance rates would be higher on a newer more expensive car. And if the car is in her name the rates will be cheaper, depending on driving record.

Right, the original though was that we were going to have to insure it and the difference was only $20 for the new car vs the Focus which is why if we were going to make payments and pay that much insurance i would rather get something we want and it was only a $80-$100 difference in monthly payments minus the fact that the focus would have been payed off first.

I just ordered myself some rear 08 spring conversion hangers from PMF. Since I will get the bed off this weekend I want to get everything I can done before winter.

Goals for before the snow fly's:
-Install Ex Tank
-POR frame
-New 08 Rear Lift Swap
-2.5" Shackle flip (PMF)
-1.5" Flat block (PMF)
-08 conversion Hangers (PMF)
-BDS 3" rear lift springs
-3/4" ubolts (PMF)

I spoke to PMF and the shackle flip actually acts as a taper as well as improving spring geometry which is why I and getting a flat 1.5" block. This set up should result me a 5" lift in the end which will give my a .5" rear rake.

Math for the lift result goes as follows:

Stock - Stock Block =-2"

-2 + Shackle Flip = +0.5"

0.5" + 1.5" block = +2"

2" + 3" Rear Springs = +5" lift

I will also be installing 4" front lift springs eventually, the reason I am now planning on this instead of my leveling kit and plow prep springs is because with the diesel weighting twice my engine's weight I expect it to sag more and cause the tires to rub again, with the 4" springs I expect my truck to basically be right back to where I am now.

Just updating you guys, i ordered al the parts needed to complete the rear spring/lift conversion today i should have them late next week.

This weekend i am going to remove the bed, clean up the frame and start to mock up the Ex Tank for installation. Once the parts come in I will drill the required holes and remove the unneeded brackets such as the old spring hangers and shackles then POR frame.

Hey Monte- I noticed you had a 05 lower dash section installed before. Any links or pictures you could share on how to make it fit?

TIA

I busted *** this weekend lol, i removed the bed and front end of the truck to perform some rust repair/proofing. Good news and some bad nely to my surprnews is it all came apart very easily to my surpricse, bad news...the tailgate is shot on the bottom lip and is beyond saving and i noticed the paint bubbling on the driver side cab corner which the guy that painted my bed said in a few years it would need replacing and...looks like its time unfortunately.

Without Further or do pictures!!

Started to get busy and removed the rear bumper and tail lights

Before when i thought all i was doing was the bed...

Started to remove fenders and realized the front screws were rusted on and needed to be snagged off so the bumper came off which lead me to spiral out of control naturally lol:

My 2 year old bumper in perfect condition (sarcasm)

Driver side fender

Passenger side next

Removed the cowl for painting and to make space to POR the lip under the plastic

My fenders are in bad condition only in these spots other than that completely rust free... i will probably cut the front rusty mount off and try to fix the rear ones since the fron one does aid it that much.

Got 3 of my friends to give me a hand...before

after

as she sits as of tonight:

The bad part of the bed...

two of the five are in ify shape i think they can be saved but if not i will probably get creative.
