I did this very carefully. Couldn't grab it with my fingers.
What do you suggest I mark them with

The other method would be to remove the entire front cover with the gears inside, if you are that afraid to touch them.

Scratches on very outside of big gyro
Couple deep scratches
More scratches n holes.
Inner gear has holes all the way around

Get your 12mm allen key and remove the oil pressure regulator for a closer look to see if any foreign debris made its way through.

You can expect scratches because the oil has not
been through the filter yet.
The holes are interesting. I wonder what the reason is.

Will the motor mount on one side (if I bolt my other hoist to one side) hold? Those bolts aren't very big.

I'm hanging it from the hoist. Then maybe reinstalling the stand after removing the rear cover
