Anthony,
Thank You for the dipstick photos. Keep up on your sleep.
No need to read all night. I have done that more than once.
I knew about the crank bolts. That motor basket-case
I was looking at this last summer had the stupid bolts removed.
That just added to the reasons I said no to the guy about the $500
if wanted for it. What he had was more of less boat anchor parts.

P.S. I have a parts washer and I don't have room for it. Wished I did.

Fantastic thread you got here! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics. I can only imagine what it would be like to have a nice shiny SPARE 6.0 in your garage. Just think you could go out there and look it, maybe even touch it, any time you want to.
Thx again guys. Capt n coke, Ahhhh. I hope I don't read all night. I just fired up the service DVD tho. Oh btw, I don't think she'll b rested in the garage. We have a 48' dry van with the axles cut out of it. Cheap storage. I wish it could stay there. How about the living room, actually, the bathroom. No more diesel power, Lol
No, I'm gonna go ahead n put it in. That way I can research who should rebuild it. I can haul it anywhere, but I want a quality job done. I called a couple machine shops and none I called knew anything about the special tools to install the crank seals. One even said "oh yeah, the installer comes with the seal". Yeah, I hung up quick.
The truck is on the wheels. But I got ya there. No kiddin. It's a cheap jack. But it worked for what I needed it for. I might call harbor freight n see about getting it replaced after the job is done. If I have time, I'd like to get it swapped out before then but the adjustments on the plate are set up for reinstalling the trans. It would suk to get it swapped and the new one is worse and me not know it. Btw blade, where are you located? I can't remember who all is around kc. You could use mine if your close enough. It doesn't bleed fast enough to notice while working, who knows, maybe I didn't have the bleeder screw tightened.

Thats Cool I will just buy one and charge to job
I was checking it out and saw all the adjustments SWEET
I think I've found a place locally to do the lower end and the crank seals. Hopefully the rear main also. I can't remember if the rear main takes a special tool. Obviously I'm not needing it done in a rush, so that makes it easier to shop around.
