Not necessarily...you would have been presented another set of choices had you stayed on the gas when you passed said trooper....

Now that that's out of the way, you have another decision (choice) to make: Are you going to take your truck out and PROVE you can run at WOT "all day" (I'll settle for 12hrs) or are you going to quit being silly and stop proclaiming that you can run your truck at WOT all day?

Bill, why don't you try it in first gear, loaded with a trailer at 40 mph or whatever that equates to. There has got to be a 20 mile stretch in Texas where that can be accomplished without the worry of speeding.

Why ask a person to put their truck through something that no body would ever do? I mean come on now! How many people run their trucks at full throttle for extended periods of time? I wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't ask any body else to do it either. I'm sure Bill works his truck pretty hard, and he's happy with it, just as I'm happy with my PSD's. I have nothing to prove to him. And he has nothing to prove to me. He's a good guy based off what I've read on here. Don't do anything that will shorten the life of your engine unnecessarily.

Nope. 2v 5.4. The manual helps a lot when it comes to getting the load moving and getting the engine in the power band. With an auto I wouldn't be as pleased with it as I am.

Why ask a person to put their truck through something that no body would ever do? He already tried it once, and failed spectacularly. So, that means somebody would do it. I mean come on now! How many people run their trucks at full throttle for extended periods of time? I don't, but Bill says his was designed to do that. I wouldn't do it, and I wouldn't ask any body else to do it either. We got tired of hearing his lunacy, so he got called on it. All he has to do is say it can't do it, and stop saying it can. They can do it for 8,000 hours, so I'm pretty sure mine could do it for 12.
I could lock it into first and do that. Why? I said I would prove it could for a minute or two and I did.
No, sorry to dissapoint. I was taking a test, not out in my truck.

Ordinaraly I would feel the same way. Its just alittle while back I made my point of my lowend torque and to shoot this out of the water Bill and some others got on this 5k and WOT kick. If a man steps to the plate I say let him swing. These gassers talk to us like we're idiots. I'm stupid, but give me break. I do know which end is up.

With no mutipling from the engine you have no advantage in 1st then get dogged out in gear after. I might have totally missed something here. I know you school me and I expect nothing less. I want to learn as much as I can.
