I did study alternative fuels and veggie oil in diesel operate on similar principles what propane conversion does in gasoline engine.
For easy start up -you use original fuel and when engine warms up -you switch to alternate fuel.
Fully computerized system with 2 tanks cost pretty money, but you can make home system for just couple hundreds.
In California the system works much better, since the weather allows starting on alternate fuel with no need for heating up several months a year.
Maybe that is why McD here charges over $1 a gallon for used vegetable oil?
Per my checking -the cdi engines do not allow veggies and mostly limits bio to 5%.
I did run straight bio in my 7.3 just fine.
I will say yes, Since french fry oil will burn cleaner regardless of what engine it is in.
I'm going to need proof..(No DPF deletes and reflashes either) An actual SMOG form better be in there. Otherwise a -1 to both for false info. I'm talking about pure oil too none of those fancy blends.
Thats what I thought. Typical diesel fanboy response.
Good to see that we're back on topic, with each side pissin and moanin at the other in an absolutely useless thread instead of discussing something actually INTERESTING, like what kind of camper you pull with your junk. Be it gas or diesel.
Why not mods? You guys "clean" and lock other threads with a lot less crap in them than this one. Wouldn't you say it's about run its course? Or are we still in pursuit of some unspecified record here?

I feel honored you chose to quote me and ignore the other responses. FYI I could care less what camper anyone pulls.
Never. I was draining water separators in my first years in California and never found any water. Gave up the procedure 20 years ago.
Diesel pumps are more common to have greasy handles, than gasoline ones, but that what rubber gloves are for. Some station have box of gloves attached on the pump.
Than let's talk how many people die, because the gasoline fumes ignited in the garage?
Point 1: Water separators
Point 2: Gas fumes igniting in people's garages.
If I wasn't a moderator, I would put you on my ignore list, because you have stepped so far outside the realm of reality that it astounds me.
1: I drove diesels for a living, and the water separator light would come on regularly, requiring a dump. If you haven't done it in 20 years, I hope that you have a lot of $'s for repairs, or that Ford honors your warranty when you tell the dealer tech that you ignore the water separator.
2: Modern day emissions controls require that manufacturers produce vehicles that do not emit fumes in any way. But then, how many classic vehicle owners do you hear about going up in flames because of gas fumes? Seriously, dude, get a grip.

Great Job and thanks for the one sided concern.
Relax. Yours was just a convenient place to stop and reply and had nothing to do with singling you out. When I hit the quote button I just assumed it would also quote the text you had quoted as well. You know, the quote from the "other" side. I lacked the interest to figure out why it didn't.
One sided? Did I not mention that BOTH sides were doing the pissing and moaning?
I like seeing what others pull with their truck myself. Whether it's a camper or a work trailer makes no difference to me. I like them both, as well what some of the hot shot haulers may haul in their trucks too. Some of that stuff can be quite interesting.

Agreed. Camper was just a convenient word given the direction of the previous off-topic discussion right before we got back to the useless on-topic conversation. Goosenecks would be especially interesting since I have a desire for one vs the bumper pull I have now.
