I don't get your signature, considering I'd SMOKE your V10...
Now Now.........everyone else already knows that Bill will outpull the 7.3 all day long and look good doing it.
I have yet to see it myself....but I guess he is right.
On a side note (a side note because it's actually related to the thread and not blowing popcorn out your nose), I finely pulled my trailer through the some mountains this past weekend. Saying the V10 gets worse gas mileage when towing is the understatement of the year. I think I got around 6 mpg... That's 150 miles on a tank of gas (short bed so its a 26 gallon tank). Good thing I only do that every couple of months!
Thinking I need a smaller trailer... then maybe a smaller truck... lol

Thank you JR, you are about the first honest v10 guy. If you read back on this thread, the v10 guys all say they get 10mpg towing 12.5k.
And before anyone jumps on me, that statement is not calling someone a liar or fibber or whatever. I would call it truth in jest. Hehehe.
I haul different equipment and mpg can change drastically depends on the shape of the objects. For example 9000 lb small load on the bed change my mpg in less than 10% but 6000 lb forklift with 8' tall mast/stand cut it by over 20%.
My 5000 lb dovetail trailer is not noticeable changing my mpg, as it improves air drag on my shoebox shaped truck.
Still the biggest mpg killer is the air drag related to speed. I experienced that my flatbed difference going from 65 mph to 70 mph can affect mpg by as much as 15 %
I have no doubt that this guy is making over 10 mpg driving gaser.
I was following him on desert freeway with construction signs for about 3 miles before I could speed up above 25 mph finding a space to pass.

I don't doubt that he got 6 mpg's out of his v10 any more than I doubt the people that said they got 10. JR has 4.30's, so that doesn't help the mpg's to start with(JL has 4.10's). He is also towing in a really hilly area, so he is going to be using more throttle and running in a lower gear. Terrain, gearing and driving style affect mpg's a lot.
