Then I looked a little more carefully and notice the PSD's were all Lariat's and King rancher's (the cheapest one was an XLT that had leather, power/heated seats and Nav) while the gassers were generally low end models and appeared much cheaper.

So the new 6.7 looked expensive (or made of gold as you said), but in reality it was only because the dealer coupled it with a $10k worth of options. But that was just one dealer here in town.
I saw one up here for 62k on the MSRP. For 62k it needs to be a one-off. It's the same over here though...The PSD's are loaded and fly off the lot, and the gassers sit there lonely and forlorn even in the most stripped down version made. Nobody buys a V10 out here.

We have some of that to. Except the mansions aren't grouped together. So you'll pass a trailer park, then multi-million dollar mansion, then a few more trailer parks, and another mansion... it's rather weird...

I know...A buddy of mine lived in Clendenin, WV and we went out there a few times when I was stationed at Fort Campbell...Interesting to say the least.

I see quite a few 5.4's here, but no V10's anymore. The last V10 sold here about a week before the last 6.4. When I talked to the dealer, he said they never had a problem selling the V10's, but they only ordered 1 V10 for every 10 PSD's. He said the V10's and PSD's st on the lot about equal amount of time. Most of the people buying the 5.4's were businesses though and they could sit for a long time. You can still find 2010 5.4's here, but there are no 6.4's or V10's left.

I haven't seen a 5.4 up here except for the F150's. The dealers have a glut of the V10's though. Nobody wants them.

Yeah, within Morgantown is okay, the University, pharmaceutical companies, and government facilities keep things in shape, but head a little further south and it's pretty "different".

Interesting, the dealer here in town probably has about 20 2010's left on the lot, all 5.4's.

I searched the local inventory for this area, and we have a lot of V10's. I've never seen a 5.4 super duty in person, but one of the dealers supposedly has 2 of them, so I stand corrected. Same dealer has 12 V10's.

Yea, their claim to fame was the first chemical factory in the world or something like that...And a very polluted Elk River. It was actually pretty up there.

Last time I looked was 2 weeks ago there where a bunch. I just searched again and found the 5 dealers closest to me had 1 2010 left, it was a 6.4 PSD with an MSRP close to $60k. The dealer I bought my truck back in Ohio had 1 5.4 XL for $32k and 1 6.4L PSD king Ranch for $56k. The other 4 dealers around them had MY 2010's left. My WV zip is 26505 and my Ohio zip was 44256 if you care to check.

That's weird how many V10's are setting around. When I bought mine in Ohio, they had to get it from 3 states away. Of course I wanted some weird option packages, but they only had 1 V10 on the lot out of 40+ SD's they had in stock. They said the only stocked the PSD and the 5.4 and only got V10's when someone ordered one. Of course the dealer did admit he makes a few hundred bucks more when he sells a PSD versus a V10...

Of course I could understand not wanting an N/A motor up in CO, so it makes sense up there.

The nature is absolutely wonderful up here. You just have to watch for bears, other than that it's great. I don't mind it living here, but definitely won't be spending the rest of my life here.

The chemical plants started around here, but the majority of them were in the southern part of the state, Charleston area. However, most have closed up and moved to China... That is one industry I'm glad has moved out of this country due to all of it's pollution.

Yeah, some rivers are pretty bad here, but I used to live by Lake Erie and the Cuyahoga river, the river that caught on fire for day's back in the 70's. SO I guess I'm used to crappy rivers. There's a reason I don't eat fresh water fish

He can claim that all he wants, but when I was on vacation in Summit County, Co back in Feb, I counted 17 (SEVENTEEN) V10 superduties that were running around just between Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, Frisco, and Silverthorne. That's a helluva lot of V10 trucks that "nobody wants" in my limited time on the road running between ski resorts. Most all of them had work gear and ladder racks on them-Electricians, Plumbers, etc. I made a comment to my wife that it seemed odd that they didn't have diesels, and that we also hadn't see many Superduties with diesels up there.

I left those back in Ohio. In WV I found out what a real redneck was, there is a big difference between redneck and farm girl.

I just looked again, and all the V10's were gone so I called the dealership to tell them I was looking for one. They said they shipped them to Missouri last week but that they could get me one in a week if I wanted one. Must have sold them off to a dealer out there. Bet that was some good pricing...
